What did happen was very simple. No one thought that having Kodachi just give Nabiki money would do anything that would either help them, or teach the gymnast a lesson. Only Shampoo thought that having back up for her was a good thing, as both Ukyo and Akane were totally against that concept.
But everyone could agree that Akane's idea of Kodachi having a clue was a good thing. After all, the whole Kuno clan seemed incapable of doing anything that made them have to think outside of their own little assumption driven worlds. When dealing with a girl who tended to be self important and almost as pompous as her brother, there was not quite as much conflict in wanting to give her a clue than anything else.
And they even had something to direct it to.
"Preposterous!" Kodachi declared. "There is no reason for me to have missed anything of importance about my darling Ranma, and that redhead harridan!"
The next thing that the gymnast knew was that there was a sudden intrusion into her mind, as if someone were reaching in to an engine, removing a part, and tweaking others.
Everyone else saw a wild eyed man with bushy white hair and a fluttering lab coat appear, seem to shove something into Kodachi's head, and press a button. Then he yanked it out, and stepped backwards, taking a moment to cackle with joy over whatever it was that he'd done. But as soon as the rich girl fell to her knees, he up and vanished again.
"My... my... my darling Ranma and that girl... are one in the same?!" Kodachi let out in a harsh whisper, her wide eyes staring at nothing.
Ukyo rolled her eyes. "And it takes someone shoving the information into your head to make you understand it, hmm?"
"And you already knew it then?"
All the other girls nodded as one.
The Kuno heiress couldn't bring herself to rise after that revelation, while:
