Sure, his son was now surrounded by wards, and had been laying on the futon on the shrine's wooden floor for three days, but the simple fact of the matter was that his boy was no longer twitching uncontrollably. Obviously, it was going to take some work to get the boy back up to speed, but his son was resilient. He had to be, and Genma was counting on that.
Blowing out a breath, he got up from where he was sitting, and stepped over to the door of the shrine so that he could look out. In all honesty, he liked shrines and temples because of the history of them, and how they could be wrapped up in a martial artist's life. There had been plenty of warriors who'd gone to, or been living at these sorts of places, and being able to be at just one was something that made him rather comfortable.
Or, at least it would, if he didn't get frowning looks from time to time.
But that was no bother to him. After all, it had been his quick thinking that had saved his son's life when he'd decided to take him to the nearest shrine, which happened to be the:
