As Setsuna slowly came back to the waking world from her little trip to ‘this can’t be happening’ land, her vision fell on Mamoru, now if full Endymion battle armor, trying to cut Ranma’s head off, while Usa was chatting with the others about her impending new child.
“This was so not in the plans for Crystal Tokyo.”
She had worked very hard to keep Ranma from having any contact with any Senshi at any time. All previous possibilities had proven that to be the best course.
Hell, if she hadn’t given Genma that book, Ranma would be married to Usagi. And before you judge her for getting Ranma the Nekoken, that technique was the fifth in the book. The first was by far the easiest—go to the north most point on the main island of Japan, and meditate—using the procedures listed—on the rocks there for three days straight. If done right, then it would open the paths of chi between you and nature up and allow you to call upon such power when needed with minimal damage. The only warnings were about channeling too much too quickly, and the risk of barnacles attaching themselves to you during this time.
But Genma had surprised her, and read more than three pages.
But it still kept Ranma from meeting Usagi, complimenting her on her hair, and having the reborn princess claim she would wed the smart boy. That had led to Usagi showing him to her parents, said parents hearing his story and contacting Nodoka, who came and after hearing the stories, got the Tsukino to sign an arranged marriage contract between Ranma and Usagi—who wanted lots and lots of babies! By the time Genma caught up, the contract had already been filed and signed by the clan seals. Since he didn’t have one for the Tendo agreement—and Nodoka had the seal hidden so he couldn’t ... make a fresh copy to replace what he ‘lost’, he was forced to come back home, teach Ranma, and get a ... job.
Not that it was a loveless marriage—how could it be after seven kids before they even turned thirty—but it didn’t lead to Crystal Tokyo.
That and the fact that Usagi had used her authority to ‘offer’ Ranma to the others as they needed, and declaring ‘Setsuna needed to get laid once a day until that stick is out of her ass’.
Of course, you had similar results with any other Senshi he met—including Haruka.
Setsuna smiled. The video from that timeline was going to be a very powerful trump card the next time the tomboy Senshi of Uranus pulled a poorly thought out practical joke.
But back to the main problem: Ranma and Chibi-Usa. How did it happen? Why did it happen?
Could she stop it from happening?
So with that in mind, she began to look for what sparked it in the past. “Please don’t be lust dust, for the love of Serenity; please don’t let it be lust dust!”
That was another timeline she was glad to have gone forever.
As the image formed, she found...
