Akane pulled her hand back. “Ow, you bit me!”
“Sorry.”
Soun was about to both yell at Ranma for turning Akane into a demon with his bite, and dance in joy that now that both were demons, they could be married, find redemption, and then the schools would be joined.
That was cut off by a swift punch to the head from Amaterasu before it could begin. “Man; he just doesn’t stay down.”
Bastet sighed. Conjuring up a necklace that had a cat-image ingrained on the medallion, she tossed it to Ranma. “Put that on and touch it to the forehead of anyone you bite to change into a were-cheetah.”
Akane eeped, forgetting that Ranma could change her with a bite. Wait! That means he wanted to change me! Ranma; you do care!
“But I thought I had to want to change them?” Ranma stated.
Akane’s eyes narrowed, the urge to pound-the-baka growing, but not faster than Bell’s spell could handle.
Bastet shrugged. “What can I say; you must have wanted her to change on some level. You’ll find that you can mentally do that for any of the fiancées; including that Kuno girl. Biting her will cure her of her mental problems, just so you know.”
“Wow, a sane Kuno?” said Ranma. “I don’t have to bite the idiots, do I?”
Bastet smiled. “No, the male Kunos are mine to ... deal with.
“Anyway; that medallion will both seal their bite, since theirs would make that person a thrall, and creates a little spell that will make the clothes they wear always fit, so they don’t ... bust out ... like you.”
Ranma nodded. “Man; wish I had that a few minutes ago.”
Bastet was tempted to use a spell to repair his clothes ... but he looked too delicious with just a loin cloth on. Oh I will be visiting very soon, my Chosen.
“So,” stumbled Akane, “when do I ... I mean, when does the ... you see...”
“In a few hours, dear,” said Bastet. “For you, it will take a while. First your hair will turn dirty blond with dark spots, and then you’ll shift to hybrid form. Oh, that reminds me!” she said, tossing Ranma some books.
He looked at the titles. “This is ‘Beginning Magic for Dummies’ and ‘Learning to Shift Forms for Beginning Weres’; so I take it these are my first lessons?”
“Got it in one,” said Bastet. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an appointment with Kami-sama I need to keep. Bell, Amaterasu; I’ll see you two later.”
With that, the door closed, leaving a few cats behind.
Putting the books in one hand, Ranma touched the medallion to Akane’s head, watching a a golden glow surrounded her for a second, before fading away.
She just stared at him, watching as the bite mark disappeared, and wondering what she would look like.
That was of course, before she remembered that she could just compare the changes in Ranma-chan and figure out what she would look like as a were-cheetah. But, since it had done wonders for Ranma, she doubted that once she had the exotic look, he would ever call her ‘uncute’ again.
Once the door faded away, Ranma sat back down. “Great; now I just need to decide on my third wish.”
