Lamp Of Belldandy: ZAP for two. [Episode 168426]

by The Demented Redhead

Ranma sat, scratching his head, wondering what to make for his third and final wish. “Any suggestions, Belldandy?”

Belldandy shrugged. Amaterasu sighed. “Well, you can now defend your new clan of were-cheetahs, but what about support?”

“Support?”

“Ranma,” said Nabiki, deciding it was time to start earning some positive karma, “she means how you will support them. Such as; how did you plan to survive after you graduated from school?”

“Um...”

Nabiki sighed. Of course he never thought about it. He just assumed something would come up. “Ranma; may I suggest you wish for both for a large amount of money to support your new clan as well as the brains to take care of them.”

“And that will work how?”

Nabiki started to rub her head, fighting a migraine she knew was coming on. “With the money, you could afford to build a training area for them, and with brains, you could make sure you never go broke and deal with anything that comes up. Maybe you’d even be smart enough to make something that would earn more money, so you could concentrate on your studies.”

Ranma blinked. That had made some sense.

Nodoka nodded. “Very wise, Nabiki. After all, a clan leader cannot be a simple minded man; for they might not see to plan for the future.”

Ranma nodded. He’d have to think on this some more.

Genma was staring at Belldandy’s lamp. As with typical Genma, he was ignoring everyone else’s needs except for his own.

With that lamp, he could get three wishes. He could even wish for more wishes.

Don’t blame him for not knowing that that wish was illegal, he hadn’t been around when Belldandy explained the rules to Ranma.

It wouldn’t have helped anyway; he would have tried until the genie killed him to stop the torture.

He could see it now, basking in the glow of all his supporters at some beach resort, drinking away the days, as women catered to his every need.

So with those dreams in mind—which did not include his wife, son, or anyone else—he leapt for the lamp.

Now while Belldandy had given Ranma a quick run-down on the rules of the lamp, she had not told him everything.

Rule #12: No new masters can be allowed to make a wish until the current wisher is finished.

Rule #15: Anyone attempting to take a wish away from the original wisher without permission or by force of some kind, will be punished by the Genie Council.

As such, everyone was pulled out of the conversation about what Ranma’s third wish should be by Genma trying to grab the lamp. This had activated a defensive program.

The scene could now be likened to Genma as a giant bug, and the lamp as the world’s most powerful bug zapper.

BBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Soun may have tried to rescue him, but he was still out cold from when Amaterasu had knocked him out.

Nodoka was still upset about the Nekoken, so she enjoyed the fireworks.

Kasumi just smiled. “Oh, those lights are so pretty. I wonder if we can get him to do that more often.”

Happosai stayed very still, not wanting to get blasted by goddesses. Those purification attacks really hurt, you know.

Belldandy just drunk her tea. She was peaceful, but even she could be spiteful at times.

Amaterasu pulled out some popcorn and began to munch as Genma was fried. “Hmm, I’ll have to get a copy of this from Yggadrasil.”

Nabiki wanted to smile, but wondered if that might be somewhat offensive to the goddesses. Of course, sense this was being recorded by her cameras, she decided to save the footage. She knew of several people who would enjoy a copy of that. She just needed to edit out the goddesses and a few other things to protect people’s privacy.

Akane did what people expected. “Now that, he deserved.”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Even Belldandy.

Down in Nieflheim, Hild blinked, before looking out the window of her office. “Snow?”

Meanwhile in Atlanta, a little girl looked as her new toy played with one her aunt got her.

“Return me to my proper stature this moment, foul curs!”

“PEEEEBOOOOOOCHUUUUUUUU!”

For a moment, Kuno and Genma flashed at the same time, before the shock ended. There was no point to it, but it was a pleasant sight to see if you could view both areas at once.

“That hurt, you know,” said the charcoal toy, as it fell down.

Little Tiffany clapped her hands in amusement.

Brittney smiled. “Man; she loves that Japanese power ranger toy.”

Brianna nodded. “I’ll have to exam it later and find out how it survives all those shocks.” She then turned towards the box. “Who sent it?”

“I don’t know,” said Brittney. “They left a note, but I’ve had so much fun watching the Peebochu shock that thing, I haven’t had time to read it.

“PEEEEBOOOOOOCHUUUUUUUU!”

“I fight on!”

“PEEEEBOOOOOOCHUUUUUUUU!”

“And it has all those lame and corny action phrases,” said Brittney.

As Genma continued to fry—which would have stopped had he simply let go of the lamp—the others finished discussing what Ranma’s third wish should be, hoping to get the most “bang for his buck”, as Nabiki described it.

“Okay,” said Ranma. “I think I’m ready.”
