Good to see you, too, Jedite. Mamoru watched with a somewhat sinking feeling as Jedite's eyes widened. And widened. And widened some more...
"You brought him here? You brought him here? Why? Why?"
Oh, so that's what a "strangled whisper" sounded like...
Hmmmmm. This didn't quite feel nor look like the Dark Kingdom... Mountains and trees, trees and mountains. Not so different from their teleport point, actually...
"...Sorry, Jeddy..."
Beryl mumbled, nearly tumbling out of the car.
"Awk! Lady Beryl!"
Here, here, Jedite, stop glaring at me, alright? It wasn't my idea that Beryl come kidnap me..."
"Lady Beryl..."
Well alright, she did look pale and wane, but Chiba Mamoru squashed his guilt firmly. This was important.
"We had an agreement, I believe?"
She looked at him, slightly unsteady on her feet.
"...Not to we actually get inside the, um, "secret base."
Mamoru could see Jedite almost choking at that.
"Very well, then."
Mamoru got out of the car. No use making things difficult for them or himself, at this point in time."
"Lady Beryl - "
"Yes, yes, Jeddy. I'm sorry, but I had to. Shhhhhh..."
Beryl didn't like she was half asleep, frankly. Mamoru sighed.
" - Do you want me to carry her?"
Jedite gaped.
"What! - No!"
"Look, Jedite - She made me drive the car part of the way here. And she slept while I drove, more often then not, to boot. None of the Being who ever kidnapped me have ever done that, by the way - I'm not going to hurt her now, if you must know. We have an - agreement."
Jedite glared.
"What kind of "agreement", pray?"
"The details are between me and her, but let's say I wouldn't try to escape till we get to this "secret base", and she does something I want her to. Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?
You could try to carry her and try to open the kekkai too, I suppose, but - "
There was a rather strong if subtle kekkai - magical barrier/warding - quite near, he could tell that much without even trying.
"Oh, for -"
Jedite snarled, and then simply put Beryl down on the ground, putting himself between Mamoru and the scarlet haired woman.
"Stay there. Stay there. Don't you move."
Well alright, then...
Mamoru closed his eyes as the energies flowed, again.
And when he opened his house...
Right in front of his eyes, was something that looked like, for all purposes, a small mountain inn.
