It was a no brainer for Ranma.
Despite being only a kid, his training under Genma had instilled in him the skill to defeat even opponents many times his size & age.
So when the crazy guy in the expensive sports car pulled up and demanded he get inside, as well as the sight of a ring similar to the one he wore, except glowing weakly and appearing to struggle its way off the clenched fist of the dark haired young man with the glowing red eyes, Ranma knew this guy was no friend.
"Give me the ring!"
Ranma ducked under the attempt to pull him in...and charged.
"Saotome Banned Technique! Boot to the NUTS!!"
(A moment of silence from the audience, along with a few winces from the guys)
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
That did the trick. Mamoru's hands spasmed open...just long enough for Ranma to snag his ring and put it on.
The familar sensation of the metal bonding to his flesh came.
And then Ranma ran. He ran away very fast. And didn't stop till he was someplace reasonably safe.
Genma would find him sooner or later...but probably later.
And that left him with time to find out about his new ring.
"Free! Free at last!! Thank you!!"
Getting glomped by a weeping blonde with a strange hairdo wasn't what he expected though. When Saturn rematerialized a moment later, he found his arms full of sobbing girls. A taste of things to come...so to speak.
Meanwhile...
"YOU LOST MAR'S RING?! YOU IDIOT!!!"
Ryoga was not happy anymore. He was also lost on some strange southern island full of cannibals.
And a certain red stoned ring was even now homing in on the signal coming from a certain pigtailed boy's two rings...
Elsewhere...
A small part of Akane's soul wept. A *very* small part. After all, she now had everything she ever wanted. And all it had cost her was her humanity...
She had power now. She was strong now. She was the best there ever was (or so she thought).
And she had soothed the last dying remenants of her consciouce by fighting Beryl's influence off long enough to flush the captured Genie rings down the toilet, there to take their chances at finding their rightful master. Beryl had been very angry...
And so two captives floated their way to freedom...for now.
Mistress Nine smiled evilly.
Soon, the destruction would start...and the glorious Silence would commence...
