LoveKen: The Problem With Love Goddesses [Episode 170193]

by Kestral

Their fun done, the three goddesses forgot about their little "sport" dealing with the child who'd fallen in the bath while they'd been amusing themselves.

Sharess goddess of sensual pleasure, had just added a little thing that would start developing after puberty. Until then he'd be able to talk to cats and understand them. That didn't mean the cats would deign to talk to him, they simply could.

Hanali of the elves had gifted him so that any child he fathered would be strong and healthy and attractive. Quite an innocent gift, all things considered.

Sune had gone with something similar to the "silver fire" of Mystra's Chosen. In her case it was more along strength, endurance, healing, and the ability to burn with sex appeal. This last not being so terribly obvious at the boy's current age. Instead he just shone with unstoppable cuteness when he tried. He'd also look good, no matter what he did.

Aphrodite had just added something to "keep her hand in" with this sort of thing. Knowing of Sailor Venus in a number of dimensions, she went with that sort of thing but tweaked in rather a manner more in keeping with her own tastes and current sense of humor. Just planting it as a "seed" which would take in a number of magics (particularly damaging magics and things like sleep spells) to nourish it and let it grow.

Ranma didn't know about much of this himself. Or that he'd splashed down in the Evergold and inhaled a good quaffing of its waters. He had no idea about how much problem this could cause him later.

"Okay," said Elminster, holding a magnifying glass up, "I count four divine magics, one planar influence, a slowly breaking down transport spell, and five lesser but permanent spells."

"I got three divine magics, and two planar," said Laeral.

"Five divine, and that transport spell will last ten years and then snap him and roughly everything in thirty yards back to where he was pulled," said Khelben.

"Only things he's actually touching," said Qilue.

"It looks to me like that's the most frayed magic and it won't even last ten years before it snaps and leaves him here," opined Elminster.

"It's pretty tangled," said Qilue after a few minutes of silence.

"What do we do with him?" asked Laeral. "He's got strong magic but he's not inclined to wizardry. Too much wild magic in his soul."

"He detects as a Monk, so we could hook him up with a nice martial arts teacher," said Storm. "There was one I ran into from Kara-tur at one point, or maybe a temple..."

"Waterdeep isn't a good choice," said Khelben. "Maybe the Promenade."

"You've got to be kidding," said Qilue drily.

"I've an idea," said the ghostly Selune.

The 'idea' turned out to be a small keep, far from civilization, maintained by an old man who wasn't completely right in the head. Or at least acted a bit like it. Though he was a fairly powerful mage who had apparently retreated from the world and its struggles to do research and avoid creditors (or something like that.)

The Seven Sisters, Elminster, Khelben, and a few Chosen, Harpers, and other concerned could come by the keep (there being a teleport gate set up for such things that connected a spot on the Trade Way between Neverwinter and Waterdeep to an archway right outside the keep proper) and check on the mystery child every so often.

Still, Ranma had martial arts sensei (traveling monks, spirits of the past, etc) coming by to teach him and drop off scrolls, so it wasn't boring. The first problem to occur was when:
