The Lord of Nightmares looked into the world and shook her head.
"I see what's going on. Hellmaster pushed you to a breaking point," the Lord of Nightmares told the now altered Lina. "I'll deal with him and then create a copy of you before the change."
"Huh? Why?" Lina asked, as she looked at her golden hand.
"I can see a bit into the future and see that Lina Inverse is needed to deal with some other stuff, so I'm going to create another Lina Inverse," the Lord of Nightmares said.
"But," Lina started.
"Did you not tell yourself that you don't care what happens to you, as long as you can save Gourry?"
Lina slowly nodded. "If this is the price I have to pay to save Gourry's life, I'll pay it."
The Lord of Nightmares nodded. "Good. As to the need for another Lina, Darkstar and Vorphied need to be put in their place. That's the reason for the new Lina. She'll act like you, but she'll be able to pull off fusion magic to combine Holy and black magic into one."
Lina looked at her golden body and the crystals embedded within her and tried to figure out what they did besides provide her energy to move. The crystal at the base of her throat glowed a light blue with neon green symbols passing over the surface, as Lina thought about the giant tablets in the Claire Bible Manuscript temple. Her now photographic memory and the crystal gave her the knowledge of what was on that first tablet. If she could, Lina would have blushed.
"Okay a spell to inflict diarrhea upon a person is not that useful," Lina muttered, as she touched the crystal at the base of her throat. "This one must have some sort of translator function."
"I see you have figured out one of your new powers," the Lord of Nightmares commented.
"Two if you count photographic memory," Lina idly said.
"All right. I'm quite sure that you realize that Xeloos is a Mazoku and that staff he carries and his robes are actually part of him."
Lina nodded. "Yes, and I if scorched his hair to make him bald, it would hurt him like ripping out all of a human's fingernails."
"Gaav's trenchcoat and sword are the same deal and is somewhat why I did that to you. Another reason is that I'm sending you to another world that needs a bit of your brand of chaos bringing to shake up the status quo," the Lord of Nightmares said. "I might have to alter your body a bit to make you fit in better."
Lina sighed, as she ran a gold finger over her left wrist crystal. "Where am I going?"
