[Episode 1708] [Episode 1708]The being that had once been Nabiki Tendo gave a satisfied belch. The swelling that had at one time been Kodachi was rapidly disappearing. Her body had been just delicious... and her soul would be exquisite!
She took a moment to examine her reflection in the window pane. While she still had some superficial resemblance to Nabiki Tendo, that soul was long gone, devoured by the new owner of this flesh.
She was Serpentine, first of the Devouring Spirits, the Bane of All Life!
It had been thousands of years since she and her brethren had last been able to feed on the flesh and souls of mortals. Now though, a foolish mortal had freed their spirits. Said mortal was now enslave to them, finding them new bodies and making them... appropriate meals.
True, Charnal was going to be upset with her. The Hyena spirit had a fondness for rabbit meat. But she'd just have to deal with the fact that Serpentine had been there first! And one rabbit girl wasn't going to be enough to sate both of them.
But enough about past meals... there were plenty of future meals to consider. Until all the Spirits had gathered, they would have to be careful.
Hmmm... that would mean everyone else in this house would have to go. Couldn't have people wondering where that Kodachi meal went. But it would be tricky... Ranma was a powerful warrior, and Akane wasn't too shabby herself. No, she'd have to hope Charnal could get to her first feeding and thus completely dominate her new body. Then, between the two of them they could... clean up the rest.
Hopefully, Serpentine could get to eat the other Tendo sisters herself. This 'Nabiki' had been fond of Sweet & Spicy meals...
With one final crack, Serpentine's body returned to its original shape, and any evidence that she had just swallowed whole a girl nearly her own size disappeared. With a bit of confusion, Serpentine began hacking a bit, and then coughed up Kodachi's hair ribbon. Shrugging, she threw that in the garbage can.
Sighing mentally, she put back on her 'Nabiki' facade, and slithered back downstairs to her 'family.'
