His brow dropped in frustration. Ranma and Ryouga were pounding each other with their fists, covering both in bruises. Akane was once again at Ranma's leg, while Nabiki was struggling to pull the three apart. Soun had an amused smile on her face, she was the only one that noticed the wizard, but she said nothing.
The wizard muttered to himself, clutching his staff. It wasn't a frustrated mumbling, however, but rather a small spell. In the same sentence, he yelled once again, his voice magnified by his magic. "PERHAPS I CAN BE OF ASSISTANCE!" All four who were in the brawl were blown over. Soun had avoided the blast. They looked up at him now in bewilderment. The wizard looked defiant as Kasumi and Genma poked their heads out of the dojo to see what the commotion was.
"I am the great sorcerer, Sagata!" his sparkling eyes had reverted to their normal, proud state. "I have traveled far beyond Nerima, across the seas, to far off lands, distant cultures, places where they have never heard of magic! And I can tell you right now…" Here he stood tall, removing his headband and letting his purple hair come loose. "I can tell you right now that I am the most handsome sorcerer in all the world!"
And Soun agreed. Immediately, blushing, she stepped out into the sunlight. "Why hello, most powerful sorcerer sir! Please, step inside our dojo! Oh forgive me," She was speaking very quickly. "How rude of me! I'm Soun Tendo, and these are my sisters, Kasumi, Nabiki, and, well, Akane." She paused to catch her breath. Akane was still growling a bit but was cooling down, reforming into a human slowly. "Oh, and I almost forgot! These are our friends, Mr. Genma Saotome and his son Ranma, and our neighbor, Ryouga." Sagata was trying to remember all of their names. Ryouga couldn't keep his mouth shut at this point."
"What's a big-shot traveling wizard doing around this quiet town? Maybe you aren't so great after all, eh?" Ryouga laughed. Sagata didn't. "Well," Ranma said, "you said you could help us, right."
"For a price, yes…" Sagata's eyes were mischevious.
"Don't do it, Ranma. He can't help us," Ryouga said. Sagata already hated him. Turning back to Ranma, he asked, "So, can I help?"
