There are many forms of inter-dimensional and inter-universal travel. Like time travel, they each carry their own risks, carry different results, and end up having different effects if you create a paradox.
Now for the type that had brought Ranma to this pokégirl world, it had a major drawback in the fact that it mutated the person into the form of an analog, if one existed, had ever existed, or would ever exist, within that universe.
Three hundred years in the past, the native Ranma Saotome of this world, named Ranma Sextome, had ended up permanently cursed to be a Tigress at the Jusenkyo Spell Dumps. The trip was the failed attempt of his father to perhaps find an item there that would allow him...er...his son to be the greatest tamer around.
Thus Ranma had ended up being a pokegirl, Tigress. Fortunately enough for him, due to another Ranma whom also came 300 years ago, had arrived from a universe similar to his own. The only difference was his father had been knocked into Drowned Cat, not Drowned Panda. As such, that Ranma had fled in fear and fell into a portal opened by scientists on that world. As such, he had not been touched by Jusenkyo in either world ... well, until he returned back to his world. But that is another story.
As luck would have it, our Ranma ended up returning to a male form, of a tigress, yes, he’s now a pokeboy. So it was no surprise when he got the hot water his first response was, “… The HELL!?”

Young Nurse Joy Stared…
Older Nurse Joy stared…
There was much staring for what seemed to be about… about ten seconds before...
