"Very good. Just hang on for a second," said Xian with a smirk.
The Corellian rolled her eyes. "Oh sure. It's notlike I'm being held by these stupid restraints or anything!"
"So we agree."
The lightsaber precisely cut into the locks and Akane dropped to the deck plating. She sat up and glared at the other woman while rubbing her wrists. "Did you have to do that?!"
"Yes."
Grumbling to herself, the pilot stood up and grabbed one of the stormtrooper's weapons. A glance revealed the unmoving form of Kuross. "Is he still alive?"
"For now. The strike cauterized the wound even as it cut. You don't feel sorry for him, I hope."
"What? No," Akane told her with a shiver.
Xian nodded as they started walking. "That's good to hear."
"What was with him?"
"That stain was an ambitious fool. He was going to use the reward money he thought that he'd get for you for his own plans. But then he decided to... well you know."
Akane shuddered. "Makes me wish that I had done more to him."
"I would have in your place. He had it all planned out you know. You were even entered into the records as a Rebel who died six months ago."
"You mean he has records on me?"
"Don't worry. He had records on you. He also used to have a computer."
"So if you are so smart, how are we going to get out?"
"Simple," Xian told her,:
