"I followed your plan, boss, it's just that there was kinda a few things that didn't work out," said the minion, wishing that he'd been able to get away.
"What are you talking about, fool?" rumbled the Overlord dangerously.
"See, there was a lot of sympathy for the guy, especially among the white dragons and that Legendary Senator Ares," said the minion, easing slowly towards the lone exit from the room.
"You DID reincarnate him as something feminine and relatively helpless, didn't you?" asked the Overlord.
"Well..." said the minion.

After crushing a level 242 Assassin Doll, he was level 32. After the remaining four had been distracted by his Gunner and Healer, Ranma managed to pick off the remaining one and was level 39.
A Rising Dragon against a level 242 Werecat brought him to level 44.
An Ashura's demise against his Triple Strike, a Curse Dragon that took three major attacks to put down, and they were heading for the next level with Ranma being a level 48.
The people with him, his followers, were the ones who would stick with him no matter what. Ones whose loyalty he could count on - especially as they had followed him here where if HE fell - they would be stuck forever.
Oleo, a level 100 Observer or Mothman type.
Fenris, a level 54 Garm or hurricane-wolf. Except that he had already fallen in battle.
James, the Desperado (Gunner) with the golden Megiddo Cannon. Currently level 118.
Ranma did a Rising Dragon against a level 438 Malphas - again struck by the silly look of the giant chicken with the snake tail. A second required two sets of attacks to put down at last, and by that time Midori - one of the female fighters following him - had been defeated.
Four more of the chicken-demons fell to Ranma's fists on that level. James was caught in a crossfire between two of the creatures, wounding one enough for Ranma to finish it off with a Big Bang. Not in time to save James though.
Ranma could see where attrition was going to play itself off as a fifth chicken-thing was grabbed and slammed into the floor. This trap seemed to be working out for those who'd set him up. He just had to concern himself with surviving long enough to bring everyone back and rip the lungs out of the trap-setter.
Angelion finally got a kill in, his attacks just not strong enough to do more than whittle down the enemy.
"Nothing personal, dood," said a prinny, diving down off of a cliff.
"We gotta slice you up, dood," said another prinny charging from his left.
"Die in peace, dood," offered a third prinny.
Ranma briefly wondered at prinnies showing up here. "LION'S ROAR!" He leapt up, charged the blast, and unleashed its mayhem.
"Dood!" said one of the now crumpled prinnies. "He ain't no first level."
"Ouch," said the second prinny.
"Dood, that's cruel & unusual punishment," said the third, smouldering a little around the seams.
"Nah, I held back," said Ranma, cracking his knuckles. "Now, since you three are obviously outsiders and you're here to kill me specifically. We're gonna have a little talk about yer boss."
"Uh oh, doods," said the second prinny.
