These girls associating with Ranma would have no trouble with a human wife sharing Ranma with them. At least one seemed actually to like the idea.
Therefore, these pokegirls were NOT an obstacle to the union of the Tendo and Saotome schools. In fact, judging from the reactions - the foxgirl might actually be enthusiastic about the possibility.
That meant that he didn't need to get Ranma away from these girls after all. In fact, considering some of Nodoka's odd notions, their association with Ranma would put that seppuku contract of Nodoka's on the "burnable trash" pile. Keeping his entrails where they were was always a plus in his book.
Which left Ukyo as an obstacle, particularly as Ukyo had stopped fighting Ranma. Of course, right now the girl was twitching in shock and had that glazed-eye stunned look about her.
What he needed was a plan to seperate Ranma and Ukyo, make Ranma forget about this pledge, and then introduce Ranma to the Tendo family.
Genma schemed his schemes, trying to work out a potential scenario.
She was serious.
Ukyo's gaze flicked from one to another before coming back to the foxgirl.
They were a group. They would stay a group. Some seemed embarassed by the whole thing, but the foxgirl was quite obvious and forward about it. They would accept her as... oh this was entirely too weird.
Oh sure, she knew something about Japanese history. Some guys had ended up with one wife and several concubines, or (much more rarely) more than one wife, or even a wife and some male... partners. There was a lot of stuff like that briefly touched upon in various classics of Japanese literature.
She glanced at Ranma, who merely looked confused. No help there.
Ranma made an unconscious decision not to understand this. It wasn't like he was stupid, or that he couldn't get the basic idea here. It was just that on some level he realized that understanding this measure right here and now would lead to problems and most likely pain. People would be getting mad at each other and him and the situation would go from bad to entirely in the crapper.
So he puzzled over it but couldn't quite make the connection.
The uncomfortable silence continued until:
