Digimon Tamers 1/2: Brothers Koromon [Episode 173607]

by The Demented Redhead

Ranma and Nabiki quickly entered the digital field, trying to find out what had crossed over this time, and if it would behave itself until they could find a partner for it.

Sadly, that was rarely the case.

Truthfully, it had yet to happen.

“Anything yet?” asked Ranma, as Nabiki held out her D-Arc, trying to find the digimon that had crossed over.

“Not yet.”

“HELP US!” came two cries.

The two quickly turned, nearly being bowled over by two Koromon.

“Who are you?” huffed out Ranma, having kept both himself and Nabiki from being knocked on the ground by the two In-Training digimon.

“I’m Koromon,” said the pink one in Nabiki’s hands with a yellow dot on its forehead.

“And I’m Koromon,” said the one being held by one of Ranma’s arms, with a black dot on its forehead.

“And we’re the Koromon brothers,” they finished together.

“O...kay,” said Nabiki. “And why are you running?”

A small explosion happened, followed by a bestial roar.

“HIM!” they screamed, as they hid behind the humans.

“Give me your data; you fools!” it cried out as its shadow began to form through the dust.

Nabiki looked at her D-Arc. “Its Centarumon, Champion level, data-type. It has ‘Solar Ray’ and ‘Jet-Gallop’ for attacks.”

Ranma nodded. “You ready, Dalimon.”

“Always,” said the green digimon.

“Go for it, Ryudamon,” said Nabiki.

“I shall not fail you.”

“Thank you!” cried the Koromon brothers.

A distance away from the group stood one girl with red hair wearing a t-shirt with a broken heart on it. “Great,” she muttered, “more pathetic amateurs.”

“They aren’t,” said her fox partner, Renamon. “Their scents; they were the ones who dealt with the other digimon before we could have arrived.”

“Interesting,” Rika said, as she held up her D-Arc. “Let’s see. The girl seems to have a Ryudamon as her partner. But I can’t get an ID on the green one.”

“I’ve never seen that type before either,” said Renamon.

The two stayed in shadow as the group fought the Centarumon. “I guess will let them play for a bit then,” said Rika. “Perhaps will see something new.”

The two rookie digimon took off, easily avoiding the pot shots that the Champion took at them.

“Stand still!” yelled Centarumon.

“Like I’m that stupid,” smirked Dalimon, dodging another shot.

“Surrender peacefully or be deleted,” yelled Nabiki. “Surrender, and we’ll try and find you a partner.”

“I don’t need some weak human to make me strong,” yelled Centarumon, as he darted towards the humans. “And I suspect that without you, your digimon will be easy prey.”

“Wrong move,” said Ranma. “Mōko Takabisha!”

The chi-blast slammed into the rushing beast, sending it back.

“I didn’t know humans had attacks like that,” said Renamon.

Rika could only stare. How had that boy done that?

She would make him tell her after the digimon was stopped.

“Dali-Tongue Whack!” yelled Dalimon, his tongue shooting out and striking Centarumon in the front legs, causing the Champion to stumble.

“This ends now,” said Centarumon. “Solar Ray!” he shouted, shooting at the Koromon brothers.

“Digi-Modify!” yelled Nabiki. “Gold Shield Activate!”

Ryudamon ran in from of the two In-Training digimon, a golden shield forming in his hands, as he blocked the attack.

“What was that about humans being weak?” smirked Nabiki.

“You shouldn’t bring innocents into a fight!” yelled Dalimon. “Kachü Tenshin Amaguriken Revised: Tongue Lashing!” Suddenly, his tongue struck out, striking the centaur digimon hundreds of times.

“Finish it, Ryudamon,” said Nabiki.

“Katana Attack!” yelled the rookie, sending the iron blade projectile directly into the Champion, causing a fatal wound.

“May your next life make you a better entity than you are now,” said Nabiki, as the Champion digimon broke apart into data, which was promptly absorbed by the two rookie digimon and the Koromon brothers.

“Wow,” said the Koromon brothers, before they started hopping around the two humans, constantly saying “Thank you!”

“So I take it you two will stay calm until we find you partners?” asked Ranma.

“Of course,” said Koromon (black spot).

“In fact,” said Koromon (yellow spot), “we choose you to be our tamers.”

“Hey!” yelled Dalimon. “They have partners; us!”

“Why can’t they have more than one partner?” asked Koromon (yellow spot).

The others looked ready to answer, but paused.

“He does have a point,” said Ryudamon.

“See,” said Ranma, “this is what happens when no one has a rule book.”
