Whatever the reasoning, she knew that this was the place where her family went for things like New Year's prayers. Going there to get some good luck for herself had seemed like a good idea at the time, but she wound up accidentally turning left when she wanted to go right. That sent her stumbling into the structure, and she wound up falling onto the planks covering what looked to be an old well that had dried up long ago. Now, someone like her could have expected herself to be landing with a 'thud' on the dry bottom of the well.
However, what she saw when she landed, after a brief light show, was the open sky of the feudal era, and the name of the family of the shrine was Higurashi.
This caused a rather interesting problem for Pluto. Nodoka was supposed to be Ranma's mother, but it would be something of a problem for her to do so if she was living at least five hundred years in the past. But given the way that things could work out, that still might be the case, even if there might be some... aftereffects from what had happened.
The situation made it so that Sailor Pluto was going to have to deal with having a Nodoka who had gone back into the feudal past, and:
