Peter Parker, hugged his wife, Mary Jane Parker, in assurance. "Don't worry, I know how to deal with angry people. It isn't like New York isn't full of them."
His red haired wife giggled. "That's true Peter. Do keep in touch. You don't want to worry your Aunt May."
Peter nodded. "I'll keep contact. Besides, old J.J. will be insisting on updates over there."
With that final hugs and kisses between the couple were given, and Peter Parker, photographer with a side job as a superhero, headed towards the terminal where his flight was.
As expected, there was a long line through security, considering the increased threat of terrorism in general. Hoping to past the time, Peter struck a conversation with a man in front of him, especially after he noticed the man in front of him was on the same flight as he was according to the boarding pass. "So... you are heading to Japan as well?"
"Yes, I am.... Mr. Parker."
".... how did you know my name?"
"Would I forget the voice of the one who took my pictures during the Daily Bugle's exclusive interview with me?" The tall red haired man in the business suit turn around to face Peter, his glasses covering his Asian features.
Peter then recognized the man. "Hey... you're Kin Nocturne, head of Omnitech, leading researcher and manufacter of military products, and the only high ranking business man who temporary gave up his desk up to serve in the military."
"That's my name, don't wear it out." He shook Peter's hand. "Let me guess, your boss is sending you to Japan to cover the chaos over there."
"Something like that. He's concerned more on a particular figure involved in it. A person with powers similar to Spiderman."
"Figures... still on the whole deal of 'Spiderman is a menace'?"
"That's old J. J. for you." Peter then thought of something. "Say... why aren't you using your private jet? And why are you going to Japan? As you said, it is chaotic over there."
"Well... my jet is currently under maintanance, and I'm heading there because I do have facilities there. I want to personally oversee security upgrades, not to mention I do have relatives I haven't seen in Japan," Kin answered, while thinking, 'You just don't need to know my jet is actually being retrofitted so it wouldn't be just a mode of transport during this time of crisis, and I need the new security so I can store my 'toys' safetly there.'
"Oh yeah.... you're half-Japanese right? I forgot about that."
"On my mother's side. I got cousins I haven't seen in years, and they got families. Might as well visit them while I'm in town."
Peter nodded. He was glad to see that many Americans weren't intimidated by the rising anti-foreign anger in Japan, and wasn't going to disrupt their plans.
What neither of them knew that the other was intending to head towards the chaos in question in their alter-egos, and that their alter-egos would meet.
One was headed there to find the truth of the person with 'Spiderman' powers.
The other was headed there as an 'independent agent' of the U.S. military, for the U. S. military was not willing for the right to intervene with their small squadron of power armored troops.
Both of them, heading into trouble, and knowing it.
