What she did care about was her plans, and there was one quick way to get herself advancing in her attempts to take the next step that she'd come up with. To become a member of Team Rocket, one had to be willing to steal any pokegirl that they could, and the rarer it would be, the better it would be. However, one simply couldn't come off the streets and walk into the local recruiting office. They would be rather distrustful, and unaccepting at first, and it would take a lot for them to let a single pale girl into their organization.
However, if she had a rare pokegirl to show them, then it would make her advancement all that much faster. Not only would getting a rare pokegirl prove to them that she was capable enough to manage such feats, but in stealing one, she would show how strong she was. Of course, it could also let them see at least some of her intelligence, since she would be able to recognize a possible opportunity when she came across it. Besides, that pokegirl would make a good addition to her team in any event.
And there was one particular pokegirl with a trainer that she knew would be likely easy pickings.
"We're going to go after Ash Ketchum's pokegirl," the goth girl stated as she and her pokegirl walked.

"Yes, my Mistress."

To tell the truth, he really didn't even really think of such matters outside of any time that other people brought it up.
But he did have a whole lot of 'meanness' and he was feeling rather grouchy at the moment. His situation was that of someone who no one was going to expect much of. Instead, he was merely going to be expected to produce nothing much, save a whole lot of time spent at the lower levels of life that he was already at. He'd already known that such a situation was the case, and he wasn't about to step out of those bounds.
He did have an urge to be nasty though, and he felt like pushing around someone else. This wasn't just for his own amusement, but would give him a small chance for getting something out of it. There wasn't much that he did expect to get, but he'd take what he could, especially if he could just push it out of someone else.
That was why he was aiming to go after Ash Ketchum. The runt was likely to be an easy prey, and he already knew a lot about what made him tick. By his way of looking at things, it would take only a little work to get what he wanted.
As far as Bart was concerned, crossing paths with Ash would be a simple and quick proposition, while:
