The efforts of Sciencist-Joker Dr. Abar were first noticed in Nerima, where the Dr. Abar's flunkeys had visited the dojo at a particularly opportune (from their point of view) time. Due to a sequence of events involving some insults from Ranma, an impassioned reaction from Ryouga, some Instant Nyannichuan powder that Shampoo had brought by (she had been trying to talk Ranma into a visit to the beach, and showing him that she wouldn't go cat had been considered a good opening move), a few wild punches and a roughly Ranma shaped hole where the dojo hot water service had once stood there was an unusually large number of females sleeping at the dojo.
That a number of them were normally males was of no account to Abar's servants, and would later be considered a welcome bit of luck when the not-so-good doctor found out about it, and thus everyone present had the priviledge of being part of Abar's great joke. Taking note of potential complications, the Trans-Dimensional servants thoughtfully added a genetic screening agent to the injections for Ranma, Genma and Nodoka, to be certain that there were no bad effects from in-breeding.

Next morning thhe residents of the dojo woke up and promptly formed a group expedition to the public baths. Most of the former males were grumbling about how inconvienient it was that there were no 24hr bath-houses nearby while Ranma hung back and enjoyed the others discomfort. Reaching the bath-house, they group split up and the regular girls went to the female side while the faux-girls went to the male side. The faux-girls applied hot water, and shrieks of feminine horror rang out from the male side of the baths.
When matters had calmed down somewhat, that is to say, when Ryouga, Soun and Genma had been forced to stop attacking Ranma, steps were taken to investigate. More precisely, the group made a quick visit to the Nekohanten to take in the wisdom of the local Amazon Matriarch. Once the problem was explained, there was a pause while Cologne fell to the ground and rolled around laughing, however after this brief delay Cologne started looking into why Instant Nyannichuan had had this effect. With her ability to examine the aura's formed by living Ki, it didn't take Cologne to spot two interesting facts.

Cologne looked at the 4 former males, and wondered how to break the news to them. Sighing, she decided delaying matters would only make things worse:
"From what I can detect in your aura's, Soun, Genma, Ryouga, Son-in... Ranma. All 4 of you are virgin females, yet all 4 of you are pregnant."
Puffing on her pipe Colonge waited for everyone else in the Nekohanten to recover from the mass face-fault/fainting that had followed her announcement. Overall Colonge thought things had gone down well, nobody had tried to kill anybody else... yet. As people struggled back to their feet Colonge rapped her staff for attention and continued on:
"I have never bothered to mention this before because... well frankly... because I never thought it would matter. But one aspect of Jusenkyo curses is that they are... subserviant... to the power of new life. To the best of Amazon knowledge once a cursed, or true form for that matter, is pregnant no Jusenkyo change will occur *IF* that change would endanger the child. This lock remains in effect until a new life leaves the mother", Cologne paused to look at her shell-shocked audience, "and for those who would consider such an option, I would have you note that an abortion does not result in a new life leaving the mother, the life is snuffed out inside of you - so doing that will leave you locked in your female form until you relent, conceive and carry to term another child."
Taking a deep breath Cologne gazed out at the glassy eyed stares of the others. Rubbing her chin Cologne went on:
"I will offer you any assistance I can, but I can tell you now the amazons have no method of doing this or anything remotely like this. We could not cause children to be conceived and leave the mother virgin, and our best method is unlikely to cause 4 pregnancies in one night...", Cologne suddenly let her voice trail off as a thought struck her. 4 Pregnancies. Extending her aura sensing ability, Cologne for the first time checked out the rest of the dojo residents.
Nabiki was the first to notice that Cologne was going pale as she looked from regular girl to regular girl. Nabiki froze up as possible reasons for the the elder's shocked expression occurred to her:
"Elder Colonge... if that look on your face means that what happened to Daddy and the others, also happened to the rest of us... I am going to scream."
Cologne hastily pulled out and put on a pair of ear-muffs.
