Jade Chan had been working at NERV for the last five years ever since Gendo and SEELE dropped what had to be a bomb on Section 9. She had been on a mission to spy on Gendo himself.
Jade sighed as she came out of the guard station. Sometimes she wished she had died with them, but she knew that it couldn't be helped.
It had all started when the Dark Hand contacted Section 9 in regards to Shindu hearing about some guy named Gendo. From the reports he had panicked and left saying that he was going back to the pocket dimension that his siblings were in. Shindu said, "It's safer." and left without another word. She had gotten the assignment and a little less than six months later Section 9 was toast.
She had kept her job here and everyone knew she was the best in security. Suddenly something blurred in her peripheral vision, and felt something scratch her arm, as she was jerked out of her thoughts she was over come with a vision.
"Choose your path..." She saw herself as either a Pirate Catgirl or a Puddle Red Goo.
She instantly knew which she would choose but first asked, "Who are you?"
"I am Bastet, the goddess of cats. Choose your path..." Jade nodded to the catgirl. "So be it, Guardian of the Medallions."
As the vision faded Jade asked, "How did you know about that?" She never got an answer.
