Which was why Xiang had seen the girl she had rescued yank out her blaster, twirl it on the trigger guard, and had it fly off her hand to slam into the head of a guard who'd just ran around a corner, knocking him out.
"I meant to do that," Akane told her with a weak smile.
"Of course you did," said Xiang, with a roll of her eyes as she picked up the other woman's weapon. Privately, she was wondering why she had bothered to save the other woman. It had been originally in the hope that she'd be helpful in rescuing Red. Instead, it looked like she was an amateur and possibly worse. Not that she'd have left her to Kuross, but this Tenso girl looked to be in need of help in other areas.
Then a guard they hadn't seen leapt onto Akane's back and reached around her to keep her trapped. Unfortunately for him, he managed to grab onto her chest.
"YOU PERVERT!!" she yelled, slamming her elbows into his gut. As he landed back on his feet, weezing for air. He wasn't able to get any as Akane twirled about and smashed him in the face.
Watching the guard slide along the floor, Xiang blinked. "Oh-kay. So she does have some useful skills."
"What was that?"
"Nothing. But the wall that we need is down that corridor."
"And then what?"
