Mousse had never been a patient man. Onryu was far from a patient Demon. So it was no surprise that he eventually left the shop he had been hiding in, just for the sake of doing something.
But it turned out to be easier to find Kuno than he had thought. He had... well, for lack of a better term... smelled magic. And following that 'scent,' had led him to an old warehouse. He could tell Kuno had been there recently, and that magic was layered upon it.
Finally! He thought to himself. A lead! True Vengeance was coming for Kuno...
He prepared to leap through the wall - a suitably flashy entrance to intimidate anyone there, when he heard a voice whispering.
"stop. it's a trap."
Onryu spun around. He couldn't see anyone... no wait. On the edges of his senses. An indistinct blur that was there, yet not there. This wasn't something alive or dead... what was going on? "Who are you?" he demanded.
"someone who wants vengeance as much as you do. you probably don't remember me, although we met a few times. i am hikaru gosunkugi. scythe... the sorceress... she stole my body, turning it into her own through magic. i am not dead, i can't pass on, but i'm not alive either. trapped in a limbo, possibly forever."
Onryu growled at that. "Another reason for Vengeance." He started for the warehouse again.
"no! she knew you would come here! it is a trap set up to bind you to serve her! don't do it!"
