So she thought he just didn't want cold water as a trigger. She can imagine that being splashed with cold water would be unpleasant for anyone.

So she altered the trigger so that...

• Ranma has now mental control over the changes... he can switch sexes at will...
• instead of cold water... hot is the trigger, and cold water returns him to male form...
• whenever Ranma feels passionate, he changes into a girl (from Futaba-kun Change)
• well.... he'll just change at the most opportune time when he needs to be a girl by the powers that be...
• it takes a magic word to activate the change....
• Something else... something even more crazier than this...
