Ranma's Daughter: Rage of Ice [Episode 175325]

by The Demented Redhead

Akane was in a slightly better mood when she returned home. With any hope, she would be spared the idiocy of the two fathers, as well as the usual perverted antics of Ranma and his bastard child.

Her mood soured when she opened the front gate, and found her sister Nabiki sitting on the stoop, waiting for her. “What do you want, Nabiki?” she asked. “Going to sell me the information on how that pervert cheated on me?”

Nabiki’s eyes narrowed as she glared at her sister, a glare that made the anger the youngest Tendo had been growing die, and quickly be replaced with a bit of fear.

“How about I tell you the whole truth for no charge,” said Nabiki.

“Oh, does this include the baka’s lies?”

“Akane, do you believe in parallel universes?”

“God, what’d he pay you to say that, Nabiki?”

SLAP!

Akane could only stare in surprise at Nabiki, not having ever expected said Tendo to slap her. “Nabiki!”

“Now listen and listen well,” growled the middle Tendo. “Ranko came from a world where you are Ranma did get married. Only he died and instead of mourning, you told your only child she was getting a new daddy and then tossed her out of the house without a care until she stopped crying.”

“But he—”

SLAP!

“Did I say I was finished?” growled Nabiki. “Did I say it was okay to be interrupted?

“Now because of some unknown reason, a Kami took pity on little Ranko and sent her to our world, where her Daddy was alive and would be there for her.

“Now everything I have said to you is true,” sighed Nabiki. True, she didn’t know that Ranko’s real father was dead. But it was the only thing that made sense. Why else would Ranma leave her. “Now you can either act like an adult or accept the truth, and stopping being a bitch to her, or you can continue and act like a spoiled brat.

“But understand this,” said Nabiki, as she got into Akane’s face, “if I see you becoming that abusive little bitch that Ranko described as her mother, if I see you become that piece of trash to this girl, you will wish you had stayed dead after Saffron. Get me?”

Akane could only pale. Was she being serious? Was she being paid? “Why are you doing this?” Doing this in a violent manner, standing up for Ranma; none of this was Nabiki.

“I may be a pain in the ass most of the time,” growled Nabiki, “but I will not stand for what I heard. I will not stand for my sister to become a child abuser. I will not allow you to grow up to be that hag Ranko was forced to call a mother.”

Taking a deep breath, trying to ignore the fact that she might end up being forced once more to bite the bullet and take the honor agreement, she looked at her sister. “Akane, I love you, I really do. But this whole ‘I don’t love Ranma’ act lost its appeal when you began to start yelling at kids. If you didn’t love him, you wouldn’t try have the shit you do to prove your worth, you wouldn’t have moped when he was my fiancé, and you wouldn’t give a damn whom he spent time with. Your insecurities will end this relationship fast, unless you want to end up the woman who constantly called him a pervert, only to not even wait for the body to be cold before you announce that you have found a new man.

“Akane, grow up and start acting like a woman, not like a Kuno. What would Mother think of the way you’re acting if she could see you now?”

With her steam vented, her anger expressed, and her conscious clear, Nabiki turned around and headed back inside, ignoring the unpleasant feeling she had from doing something nice.

But it did leave one question on her mind: why had she blown up like that?
