"The enemy kind," snapped Asuka. "What's to know, we'll just kill it!"
"Don't get cocky," warned Misato.
"Attempting to analyze, got anything, Maya?" Ritsuko held her headset and placed one hand on her subordinate's shoulder.
"No ma'am, this is completely unlike the others," admitted Maya.
"I have target acquisition," came Rei's quiet comment.
"Power build up! It's AT field is inverting, no, it's shifting in out of dimensional phase!" Maya called out.
Rei fired a quick shot which seemed to hit the thing, but then it altered again.
A beam shot out, enveloping Unit One and Shinji.
"Aaaaaaa!" Shinji yelped as his plug suit was suddenly way too tight, especially down there!
"Cut the communications lines!" Gendo stood up and yelled as Misato, Ritsuko and Maya abruptly glowed and collapsed.
There was a snap and several screens went dead.
