Coupled Union - Yamato Nadeshiko: Getting A Second Opinion [Episode 175824]

by Kender

Given what had happened during the day, Ranma had been rather pleased by the fact that he had gotten some time to rest and relax with his wife. He knew that she would have been normally preparing dinner at this time, but as she was not in the mood to cook, she had some free time. With that being the case, he felt the need to enjoy that quiet time with her simply because such a move to avoid the sort of thing that she loved to do for her family was something that had to be stressing her out. Over the years, he'd reached a point were he was used to his father being an idiot, but she'd loved and trusted hers, so that was not something that just 'went away'. What she needed was to enjoy this time sitting next to him as they relaxed in the peace and solitude of a quiet late afternoon.

Instead, he got jolted by a rather loud voice intruding on their time alone. "Ranma! Ranma! I need to talk to you!"

"What's goin' on?" he asked in a voice full of confusion and frustration. "Trouble again, Akane?"

"Could be."

"Eh?"

"Trust me, this could be a problem for me. If it wasn't, I wouldn't bother you during your time with Kasumi. Sorry, sis," Akane responded, holding up one hand apologetically.

The eldest Tendo sister gave the youngest an understanding smile. "If it might be important, then it's okay to bother us. What is it?"

"The 'Bakusai Tenketsu'."

"What is... Ranma? You went all stiff...."

"It's just that I've heard of that before," the pigtailed boy told his wife. "What did you want to know about it, Akane?"

Akane looked a bit hopefully at her brother-in-law. "That you know what it is?"

"Bits and pieces, really. I don't know the details, but I know enough about it ta understand it."

"Oh? Why's that?"

"Well, part of it's cause it's an Amazon move. Used ta be used in construction, but has some other uses. 'Course, they don't share their stuff with just anyone, and they didn't let me know more than they thought that I should. Not that I'd try ta learn that technique."

"Is it that bad of a technique?"

"Depends on what ya consider 'bad', I guess," he admitted. "The thing is that it's actually pretty useful. Ya just poke a finger inta somethin', and it blows up."

"Really?!"

"Sure does. Only, I didn't wanna go through the trainin' for it."

"Sounds like its awful...." his sister-in-law whispered.

"I'd like ta think so, 'considerin' how it goes. Ya take the person who you're gonna teach, tie them up and hang them from a tree. Then ya tie one arm out with a finger pointing out. Once that's done, you start slinging boulders at 'im until he either learns, or is too bashed to keep going."

"'Boulders'?"

"Yup. Really big hunks of rock. Ya see, the idea is for ya ta see the point ta breakit in an instant. 'Xept it talkes a real longtime ta learn, so, this wasn't a somethin' ta learn all that quickly."

"And you didn't want to learn it."

He gave off a small chuckle, and shrugged. "Not quite. It's also that it ain't my style. The 'Bakusai Tenketsu' is for people who go with strength, and I do speed. Why are ya askin' 'bout it anyway?"

"Your dad told me that he's gonna teach me how ta do that. Of Course I didn't exactly like it when he burst in on me when I was taking a bath ta tell me about this plans."

"Did he now?"

"Pretty much."

"I see...." he murmured in a tone that made both sisters shiver a bit, while:
