IA: The Chosen One [Episode 1766]

The feelings of fear, pain, and exquisite death.

And...one other...

A spirit of light, of hope...that had to be destroyed. At any cost.

For it threatened their order, their sacred mission, their corruption.

And so Ranma and Kasumi fled, not knowing why they had been spared the deaths that had taken their friends and family. Knowing only that they had to find a place of safety, if indeed such a place existed now.

Behind them, the district of Nerima started to burn...

• Ranma and Kasumi are the only survivors...alone, penniless, they search for an answer to their peril...
• A few others survived the slaughter, the Amazons, Akane's two friends, the old letch...
• Unknown to them, the animal plague is spreading...(the Knights work?)
• Aid arrives for Ranma and Kasumi in the most unexpected fashion...
• It's an invasion...already the first gates are opening to release an army the likes of which this world has never seen...
• The Knight of Duty (borrowed from Metroanime) takes one look at this mess and says, "Don't even think about it!"
