"You know what?" the woman asked. "I'll do it the quick way, I have some ramen on the stove..."
So she closed her eyes and put her right palm against her forehead.
"I'm getting a vision... I see you taking a voyage, a long voyage! I see you captaining a ship..."
"Hey, I wanted to be a martial artist, not a sailor," Makoto protested.
"Silent, girl! I see... I see..."
"You see? What?"
The old woman made a dramatic gesture with her hands. "I see... a giant pigtail!"
Makoto sweat-dropped. "A... WHAT?"
"I see you pulling on that pigtail..."
"Um... okay... That old crone is crazy..."
"I heard that," the old woman snapped. "Now, if you would let me continue? Thank you very much!"
She concentrated again. "Your journey will have many parts. You will see things better left unseen. You will hear things better left unheard. You will learn things better left unlearned."
"What kind of things?" Makoto asked impatiently. "I hate surprises."
The woman shook her head. "NO! The time is not right to know. When you know your purpose, come see me... I will let you know then... Now, farewell... Sailor Jupiter!"
Makoto groaned. 'Damn, that's why I hate going to a fortune teller...' she thought.
----
After leaving the strange restaurant, many questions invaded Makoto's brains...
But the biggest one was: Did she really believe that old woman?
But after all, she knew that she was Sailor Jupiter, so perhaps she DID have some perceptional powers...
Perhaps she should just concentrate on her three tasks...
"Now, where was that Kuno mansion again?"
----
She had to say, it was an impressive manor. Clearly the biggest house in the neighborhood, complete with greenhouse and pool...
Sadly, in that pool she could also see the massive snout of an even more massive alligator sticking out... and the pool was situated directly in front of the main entrance. So how was she going to get inside?
Perhaps she should just take a look at that greenhouse over there - maybe there are some clues?
Makoto made sure that no one from the house would be able to see her, then (nervous that she might get caught) she carefully entered the greenhouse.
Her first impression was that she was walking through a jungle... All around her, giant plants were rising.
She shook her head. "What am I doing here? There's nothing here but plants..."
"Hello, is anybody there?" a voice suddenly called out.
Makoto was surprised. Was that the owner of the mansion? Or just the gardener?
"Please, if you aren't with her... please, get me out of here!"
Sounded more like someone in need... Well, it was her job as a Senshi to help out people like that.
She followed the voice and reached... a couple of cells in the back area of the greenhouse, surrounded by mangroves.
And in one of the cells, a young woman - or was it a man? - clothed in torn ninja's garments was standing, looking at her with a hopeful expression.
"Who are you?" Makoto asked.
"My name is Konatsu," the battered ninja said. "At least I think so... I've been in here for so long, I can hardly remember... You gotta get me out of here! I've been locked up by that crazy woman, Kodachi Kuno!"
"Kodachi... Wait a minute! She who calls herself the 'Black Rose'? That Kodachi? She's a Kuno?"
Konatsu (now Makoto realized that it was a boy in a female kunoichi's costume) nodded. "Yes, that's her!"
"But why did she imprison you?" Makoto asked. "Did you do something wrong?"
"I was framed! I didn't touch the stupid flowers!"
"What flowers?"
"The yellow Reptilies Endormi flower, also known as 'Reptile Sleeping Drug'."
Makoto blinked. Now wasn't that a coincidence...
