“Hey kid.”
The voice came from behind, startling both Ranma and Jetta.
“How... how the hell did this guy sneak up on us?” That was the thought running in their eyes. It was a big concern since both were sensitive and good at detecting. But this... old guy managed to do so and he seemed to have suddenly existed.
The old man was still quite healthy looking, he seemed to have just hit his fifties or sixties with long graying hair obscuring his eyes. Despite such, he was a towering 7ft tall and well built with dense and well defined muscles, obvious since he was shirtless and only wearing arm bracers and a baggy, leathery pants. Bracers, Ranma noted were like his own and troll pants much like what he wore on Jade.
'THUMP'
The old man tossed to Ranma a bulky looking pack, “Take it. Ja Ne.” and he turned back, walking away and revealing a long pigtail trailing down his back
“Hey! Who the heck are you!” Ranma yelled after him. He was also surprised with the weight of the pack which was very heavy, even Jetta had to help to carry it in order for him to stand up.
Without breaking his stride, the old man just said “De' marc” and disappeared into the distance, the pack suddenly becoming lighter when he was gone.
It was way too suspicious, but the pack was opened none the less. It contained two glass bottles of Absolut Vodka, a bar of soap and a black one piece suit which Ranma recognized to be a mage suit after fighting several mages and when touring Seers Hamlet. There was a slightly crushed letter too at the bottom.
Wondering why the hell would he need two bottles of Vodka since he didn't drink and a bar of soap which he could just buy when needed and Sextome's pack already have. The mage suit bore more suspicion and he didn't know how to use it anyway nor had he time to bother how to use it when he was at Seers Hamlet.
Carefully opening the letter and reading its content, the letter said: Ranma, mage suit works by will power so will it to clothe you, it can also change shape when you will it. Use the soap regularly, it will help a lot. You will find a use for the vodka some time later, trust me.
“Weird letter,” Ranma said and kept everything, “But that guy was weirder, I don't think I know him but I think he knows me all too well.”
“Master, should we be worried.” Jetta asked.
“Probably, but something tells me that guy wasn't the problem.” said Ranma, “Knowing my luck-”
Ranma found himself interrupted and this time more unpleasantly.
A massive stone club smashed the ground where he had stood had he not leaped away just in time and pulled a shocked Jetta away.
They pushed away any thoughts of the old man and began thinking of away to fight the owner of the stone club.
Well, Ranma did, Jetta was more worried on how to escape the Giantess holding the club.
“Master, we need to leave immediately! A Giantess is beyond us, we don't have a chance!” She yelled and jumped back to avoid a huge hand reaching to grab her.
Ranma was not going to do such a thing, after all, he had taken down tough things like Pantyhose Taro and the Orochi.
He shifted to his hybrid form and prepared to fight.
*Someplace near the ensuing fight:*
Macavity giggled a bit, standing horizontally on a tree trunk. In a truly sadistic way , she said, “Let the games begin.”
