"AH! That terribly cursed spring!" exclaimed the Guide. "Two thousand three hundred year ago, monster wolf and tiger fighting fall off cliff into spring! Is terrible tragic sirs! Now whoever fall into spring turn into-"

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROWL! growled Ranma.

"-uhm, sorry sirs. Guide just remember he leave pot on stove. Bai bai!" zip zoom zing SLAM! LATCH!

"Uhm, Ranma?" tried Genma, eyeing the locked door of the Guide's hut and backing up.

thump clatter brace shove came the sounds of a door being barricaded from inside the Guide's hut. This caused Genma to really begin assessing what his son had just turned into.

It was a wolf, sort of, the size of a tiger, with bluish fur that had a tiger-stripe pattern of red. Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Genma eyed the beast. "What did he mean 'monster wolf'?"

schnick! went the wolf-tiger's claws. gleam went the wolf-tiger's teeth.

"Uhm, OMIGOSH! LOOK AT THAT!" tried Genma.

• it works. Genma runs.
• "HE MEANT," growled Ranma. "The wolf was one of those enchanted creatures like in the Grimm's Faerie Tales. Required magic to kill him. Now, I'm gonna try the old huffin' and puffin' trick."
• Ranma satisfies himself with a brief bout of savage vengeance upon his father.
• or he could use the Great Will again and fix this.
