“Come now young one.” Devistus said as he used a claw to gently shove Ranma down the corridor. “The Mentor can find you Mistresses quite easily, but for now you need to go get yourself a decent set of armor and a weapon so I‘ll be taking his place for now.”
“I don’t need any of that.” Ranma protested at the idea of using weapons or restrictive armor.
“Now don’t be that way.” The Dragon turned to Ranma. “I’m sure we can fit you with something to your liking.”
“Master, please. We can’t risk you getting hurt again.” Melfina looked at Ranma. “If Rei had not caste that protection spell, you would not be here now.”
“That is correct.” Rei added. “Your protection is one of our duties, Master.”
“That’s right.” Milly gently pushed her Master to the nearest armor and weapons shop. “It was also Melfina’s healing spell that stopped the bleeding and sealed the wound. We can’t have that again, Master.”
“Now wait a minute.” Ranma tried to argue. “And don’t call me Master.”
“But we like calling you Master, Master.” Melfina said submissively.
“It seems your outvoted Keeper.” The ancient creature chuckle before standing alert. “Keeper we best move to the side.”
“Why?” Ranma blinked.
“Because one of the major powers of this land is heading this way.” Devistus said seriously as the crowds started to part. “Minor Keepers that you’re facing are nothing compared to this Keeper.”
Ranma and the girls moved along side the old Dragon as a group made it into view.
In the lead was a beautiful woman with golden shoulder length hair. She looked young but her crimson eyes spoke of many years of experience. Her build was petite and well developed causing many men in the crowd to stare at her lustfully. She wore a black top that showed her generous chest and revealed much of her stomach. Over the top was an open sleeveless crimson vest that obviously couldn’t be bottoned due to her breast size. Her hands were covered with scarlet elbow length gloves. Wrapped around her shapely hips was a wide leather belt holding up a red and black mini skirt that showed off her shapely legs and knee high leather boots with steel tips finished her look.
If those who did not pay any attention to her beauty then would be looking at her massive weapon. Her crossbow, though many would argue it was more of a ballista, was a couple feet longer than she was tall. By the way she lazily draped it over one shoulder showed to many of her great strength and the ability to easily use it.
Flanking her was two men dressed in black full plate armor and trailing behind was them was a group of six Hellhounds.
“The Scarlet Maiden.”
“Huh?” Ranma looked at Devistus.
“It’s one of her titles. There’s also Crimson Angel, The Blood Flower and the Red Beauty.” The Dragon answered. “She has much influence over this realm and its best not to cross her. It is said that she was sired by the King of Vampires himself. She has quite the reputation too. She is well known to rule both minion and slave alike with an iron gauntlet in her right hand and a velvet glove in her left. Because of this she has absolute loyalty with her warriors and became a slave’s dream Master. She is the Vampiress Keeper, Seras Victoria.”
As the group came closer, Seras and Ranma locked eyes for a moment before she looked forward again as she and her entourage passed. Ranma continued to stared as the group disappeared from view.
“Come on Master. Its time to get you that armor” Milly grabbed Ranma’s arm and pulled him towards the nearest arms shop.
Meanwhile down the hall the vampiric Keeper seemed to be speaking to thin air.
"So that was Keeper 'Ranma'? I didn't see the Mentor anywhere."
"It seems that he went off to do some dealings for his protégé, my Lady." Responded a Rogue in a invisibility spell. "You orders?"
"Keep an eye on him."
"As you wish."
