Digimon Tamers 1/2: While You Were Away [Episode 182041]

by The Demented Redhead

Ryudamon was not a picky Digimon. She preferred to be civil, educated, a class-act as it were. She did not mind that she had been left behind because her Tamer was forced to, as her family had left for a vacation, and the large Digimon just wouldn’t fit. She was a sophisticated Digimon and would always be presented as such.

Sadly, the Koromon Brothers were ... unsophisticated.

“¿Por qué usted engañó en Ricardo con Miguel? ¿Por qué, Maria? ¿Por qué?” cried the yellow-spotted Koromon, as he continued to watch Spanish soaps on the small television.

Ryudamon blinked. “Since when do you speak Spanish?” she asked.

“¿Español? ¿Soy español de discurso?”

She was so tempted to reduce him to data. The two were annoying like that.

“We’re back,” said Ranma, as he entered the attic above the Dojo, the one room that had been made the Digimon room on the Tendo property.

“I trust you did not have much trouble?” asked Ryudamon, putting away a small book she had been reading.

“No ... and yes,” said Ranma with a sigh.

“Huh?”

“So this is where you live?” came a strange voice.

“It looks so cool,” said another new voice.

“Oh no,” said the yellow armored Digimon.

“Hey, I know those guys,” said the black-spotted Koromon.

Sure enough, a tired looking Dalimon entered the room, two in-training Digimon sitting on his head, both with unicorn-like horns protruding from their heads.

“I knew it!” cried the black-spotted Koromon. “It’s the Tsunomon Brothers!”

“Please tell me they didn’t!” begged Ryudamon.

Ranma merely whistled, scratching the back of his head, trying to appear oblivious to what was happening.

“Wow,” said a white digimon, as he appeared from behind Ranma’s back, “you have yummy food! Can I have some?”

“Sure, Calumon,” said Ranma. “Think of this as your home.”

“WEEEE!” cried the In-training, as he hopped over to the bowl of snacks that the other In-training Digimon were scarfing.

“Are we now a Digi-Daycare Center?” asked Ryudamon.

“Starting to feel like it,” said Ranma. “But it ain’t like we can just leave them on their own. They’ll either get in trouble, or some uncute tomboy will try and delete them,” he added, remembering a certain tomboy and her fox-type Digimon.

“Hey!” cried Dalimon. “That’s my comic book!”

It wasn’t the first time Ryudamon had developed a strange eye-twitch. It wasn’t going to get better, she knew that much.

Ranma groaned as he dropped onto his bed. It had been a rough few days with Nabiki out of town, her parents insisting on a quick family trip to visit relatives in the North, before classes began once more.

And he was missing her.

Who knew the Mercenary Girl would be missed by me? he said in his mind. Though they had been deposited on this world by that weird Arch, he still considered it odd that ... he missed her. Maybe I do love her...

He shook his head. They had been returned at such a young age, he didn’t have to worry about that sort of stuff for a long time. And since his Old Man was an “upstanding member of the community” in this world, it wasn’t likely he had dozens of fiancées and fiancés waiting in the wings on this world.

Of course, his life didn’t get any easier. No-sir-ee. That would require divine intervention, and he had apparently used those favors up to end up on this world. Fighting digital invaders from another world, being what ended up being called a ‘Tamer’, partnered with Nabiki... It had been a long few weeks.

He paused as he rolled over, staring at the ceiling, some words Nabiki had said to him the day before she left for the family trip hitting his mind.

“Too bad we don’t have a Gabumon to partner them up with. If we did, then maybe we could use DNA Digivolution cards, if I figured out the Mega-Code, and have Omnimon.”

Ranma only groaned. Oh, she was so going to get yelled at for jinxing them like that.
