Then again.. If Ranma really did believe in all of this nonsense why not make it work to her advantage?
More often than not Cologne had found herself wishing that Ranma had been born a girl. When Ranma joined the tribe, and she had no worries that he wouldn't, he would become the most pampered male this century.. but that would also be all. Men weren't fighters, men weren't warriors and despite Mousse always trying to prove the opposite there was no place for a male warriors in the tribe. Men were livestock there was nothing more to that.
This was what had grated Cologne..
In all her years she had only seen one man, one person with more potential and power than Ranma Saotome.. and that had been Herb.
Rubbing her hands the old woman licked her lips as she scrutinized..
No, she would not let Ranma's potential just get wasted.

"Excellent, excellent great grand daughter.. I must say that your stubbornness brings a smile to this old woman's face."

The redheads smile faded somewhat but returned in full bloom. Yes she never had really noticed what a great figure the female Ranma had.. her alluring looks most likely could get her any man she wanted, yes the only problem as she saw it was her size. Ranma was a really tiny girl, even more petite than Shampoo so childbearing would be very painful for her.. not dangerous though.. ancient Amazon techniques would see to that.

"Really? you think so?"

Ranma prattled on obviously not noticing Cologne's roaming eyes. What would they name the children? And what about Shampoo? It was true as Ranma had said that Shampoo would have to give up her place in the tribe for Ranma but Cologne just couldn't allow that.. Yes somehow there had to be a way to bring Shampoo back and restore her honor.. but as for now..

"Yes I do child.. now as for Ranma.. I'm afraid that agreement is no longer valid.."

Ranma actually blinked and that almost made Cologne laugh, whether Ranma truly did believe she and her male self were separate people there would be no way for her to get out of this one..

"Herb did defeat him.. yes he did.. and as you can recall the Prince of the Musk did defeat you Ranko, at those hot springs.."

Coughing the tiny girl gave Cologne an incredulous look almost making Cologne slap her in response. If little Ranma wanted her Shampoo's place the first thing she would have to learn was how to show her elders proper respect.

".. But.. I--you can't mean--"

Her lips twisting into a smile Cologne shook her head ruefully.

"Oh yes but I can and I will dear. Yes, I am sure that you will give Herb-san some wonderful children.."

And then Cologne did laugh, the birds that had been perched on a branch just outside scattering in wild panic.
No matter how hard you try things never go exactly as you planned.. Ranma had learned this the hard way and was still learning..
Yes life sure was full of surprises.
