Eternian Wreaking Crew: Sowing Wild Oats [Episode 183193]

by KAITON

King Randor stalked through the corridors of his royal apartments. The reason for his ire was the tardiness and general laziness of his only son and heir, Adam. His Man-At-Arms, Duncan, followed closely behind.

"I don't understand what is so difficult about waking up at a reasonable hour, Duncan, is it really just me? Am I being unreasonable?" Randor walked without his crown.

"Not especially, your highness. If you'd like I'd be happy to fashion an alarm clock for the prince." Duncan knew the reason for Adam's exhaustion was a late-night run-in with Clawful and Whiplash that demolished half the downtown area of Southern Eternos. He'd been there so he knew first-hand how difficult He-Man's fight was, battling two powerful enemies while protecting civilians and merchants? Adam was lucky he even made it back to the palace for any sleep at all. Of course, Duncan didn't say any of this to his king.

"No, Duncan, every other Eternian boy grows up with own internal clock telling him when the sun rises, Adam should not be any different." They passed three maids with carts of breakfast foods and hot coffee on their way to Adam's suites. Randor told them in no uncertain terms to return the food to the kitchen and prepare the main dining room for breakfast.

"Don't you think you might be overreacting, your highness? We don't know what Adam was up to last night, it might've been something important."

"Don't start that with me again, Duncan, the only thing Adam was doing last night was chasing the maid's skirt-tails in the Royal Garden." The doors to Adam's room were open. Man-At-Arms wondered whether Teela had gone in or if it was the maids' handiwork. "I saw him doing it before you reported about the attack on Southern Eternos."

Duncan smiled, hoping his acting skills were still up to snuff. "He's a young boy, sir, sowing his wild oats. You can't tell me you didn't do the same thing when you were his age."

Even Randor had to smile. His childhood friend knew all the right ways to change his mood. "Well, I could but you would know I was lying, you were there!" He roared in good natured laughter.

Then roared in pain as Teela crashed into him. The two hit the wall, dazed. Man-At-Arms rushed to his king's side. "Are you all right, your highness? Teela! What happened?"

Teela shook her head groggily, dropping her serpent staff in the process, and looked up at her father. Man-At-Arm's defense screen was up and his left shoulder bulged with force-screen emitters. "Strange woman...Prince Adam..."

"What?" Duncan pulled Teela up and helped Randor to his feet. "Are you unharmed, your highness?"

Randor rubbed his shoulder and looked through the door into Adam's bedroom. "Fine, Duncan, is Teela...?" The king of Eternia's eyes bulged from their sockets and he raised a shaky hand to point at the naked redhead standing on his son's bed.

"Sire? What's the matter?" Duncan followed his gaze and his jaw dropped. Of all the things for Adam to bring home from Southern Eternos, how did he plan on explaining a bed slave?
