"A bed-slave? Are you outta your mind?" Adam threw up his arms in exasperation. "Why would you even think that?"
"Maybe perhaps it was because she was naked in your bed?" Randor was getting angrier and angrier at his son. "Listen, Adam, I don't care what you do in private but a Ezaran slave could cause a diplomatic situation, maybe percipitate a war!"
"I think we may be jumping to conclusions, sire, there's no evidence that Adam even-"
"Don't defend him Duncan!"
Unseen by the arguing pair, Teela had appeared in the corridor outside Adam's bedroom fully dressed in her military uniform. Her long hair was tied back in her customary tight cylindrical ponytail and her serpent staff jangled loosely from its holster at her hip. She stopped at the centre of the massive double doors and motioned for someone else to step out into view.
Ranma sheepishly stepped beside her, looking warily at his surroundings. He still wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea that he was just in another world, but at least according to the redhead the Eternians had some knowledge of Earth - if not a way to get back. The pigtailed martial artist was dressed in a leather-laced guardsman's tunic (like Adam's regular attire) and brown leather slacks. His feet were covered by supple darker leather boots.
After several moments of watching the two elder men rant and rave while Adam sat idly on his bed, Teela decided to announce herself.
"Scuse me? Dad? Got someone here for you all to meet."
Duncan turned away from Randor and took a good look at the boy. Definitely a warrior, though not fully battle-hardened yet and very definitely a threat to his daughter's...ahem...innocence. Man-At-Arms' eyes narrowed to slits. If this fly-by-johnny thought he could steal his little girl from him without a fight...well, as a father he'd have to teach the upstart a lesson.
"Who is this boy, Teela?"
"Yes, Teela," Randor echoed, "this hardly seems the time to introduce your paramour."
"Paramour?" Adam stood up suddenly before easing back. Heh, he'd started acting like He-Man and that was never a good thing, especially when he didn't possess the strength to back-up his attitude. The raven-haired boy was definitely a warrior, battle-hardened, and sure of himself. Adam chose to play the prince just a little longer. "C'mon Teela, why didn't ya tell yer Prince about this boyfriend?"
Ranma heard Adam's words (understanding the strange language through some strange magic no doubt) and immediately started making warding gestures with his hands. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Ya got it all wrong! I don't even like this chick!"
Teela frowned at the babble spilling from the aquatranssexual's mouth and extended her staff.
"-On top of the fact that I ain't datin' some violent chick with hips the size of a mountain!" Ranma's tirade was cut short by an equally short uppercut from her serpent staff that sent him sprawling backward. Almost immediately he sprang back up. "Whaddya do that for!?"
"Punishment for impuning the honor of a guardsman."
"First of all I didn't 'impune' anything, all I said was you were uncute! Second, you ain't no man!" The last comment earned him another 'thwack' with her weapon. "Quit it!"
Duncan, Randor, and Adam simply watched the spectacle silently, each wondering just what the hell was going on.
"Quit it!"
"Oh? Why don't you try an' stop me?" She raised the golden snake for another strike when Ranma blurred. The next thing she knew, her staff was pulled out of her hands and her head felt different. "Wha?"
"Serves ya right, tomboy." Ranma pointed to the mirror against the wall. Something about the smirk on his face told her this wasn't something flattering...
Her hair was out of a ponytail and coiled into two balls on either side of her head with the extended staff acting like a kabab skewer. Grasping the hood of the cobra lanced through the ball on her right side, she tried to pull it out. A screech later and she realized she was stuck. "How did you-? Ow! Get this off me!"
Duncan had seen the speed with which Ranma moved and was frankly astonished that someone that young could have the discipline to be that skilled...it said volumes about his training. "Who are you young warrior?"
"Yes," Randor intoned, "I don't recall your face among the nobles. From where do you hail?"
