Cheetah-Ranma & the Princesses: Stability [Episode 184061]

Grave sighed and ran a hand through her spotted hair. “Well that was both unexpected and awkward,” Grave commented mildly.

Brianna coughed, “Yeah.”

“Still… went better than I expected,” Grave mused thoughtfully as she looked out of the window.

“We’ve been through so much weird stuff that this family is pretty forgiving and accepting,” Brianna stated, “it’s about the only way to keep your sanity.”

“I know,” Grave pointed out, reminding the other girl that they shared memories. She chewed on her lip as she thought several things out in her head, “you know Britanny’s going to be a problem.”

Brianna's own thoughts followed in a pattern eerily similar to Grave’s own, and she could easily see the conclusions that her sister had just reached.

Dad, once he accepted someone as not being irretrievably evil was pretty forgiving and hated killing under any circumstances. He honestly believed in redemption and that anyone could change. Grave would be fairly easily accepted by him, although she could expect being carefully monitored for a while.

Mum was much looser and much more direct in her morals, but would trust her husband in a complex magical matter such as this. Although Grave could probably expect to be watched like a hawk with her around, she certainly had extremely strong maternal instincts and Grave would be a new element threatening her babies until Julia decided to full adopt her.

After all, that was pretty much exactly the same way she had treated Brianna. That had not been a fun first meeting.

Out of their sisters, Gina tended to follow their fathers philosophy. She was pretty forgiving and had tried to talk Grave down the first time they meet. It was a fair bet that she would be okay with the situation after it became clear there was no longer massive risk standing around Grave Digger.

Britanny however was stubborn and held grudges, she was also impulsive and easily tracked into violence like Grave. If there was going to be a personality clash it would be right there, which would be quite amusing as it would mean that Britanny couldn’t stand her own personality reflected back at her.

Brianna sighed, they’d have to deal with it when it came up.

“Oh well, I'll have to deal with her when the time comes,” Grave echoed Brianna's thoughts out aloud. Grave looked down at the sheet wrapped around her and pursed her lips, “but first I need to get some clothes on.”

“Well most of my clothing is across the floor,” Brianna waved her arms in an annoyed 'help yourself' gesture.

Grave looked around the devastated room with a critical eye. “You know you should keep your room tidier,” she commented with a sadistic smirk as she walked over to the pile of clothing that she'd thrown on the bed earlier.

Brianna's eye twitched as she resisted the urge to strangle her newfound twin.

Grave started getting changed into the Khaki trousers and tank top off of the bed. They were in an urban camouflage style that didn't quite look as she'd please but the selection for her in Brianna's wardrobe was somewhat limited thanks to the differing body sizes between the pair. She was probably going to have to go shopping at some point, assuming she survived the whole 'meeting the family' thing that was fast approaching.

Grave finished pulling the trousers on and squirmed uncomfortably as she looked the whole outfit over. “Gah! You are unbelievable Brianna,” Grave complained, “Not only did you fashion sense take a leave when buying these clothes but so did you common sense!”

“What?!” Brianna asked annoyed, not getting why the petite werecat was having a go at her for.

“No. Tail. Hole.” Grave stressed heavily at her sister before the feeling of her tail crushing against her legs in these rather tight pants got too uncomfortable and she stretched her magical muscles to solve that exact problem.

“I noticed you didn't check before you put them on,” Brianna shot back.

Grave glared at her as she finished creating a tail hole and pulled her tail through the newly created hole, “I wrongly presumed that you had enough intelligence to fix clothing that you brought for this body so that it could be worn by this body. Obviously I was deeply mistaken.”

Grave blew some hair that had fallen down across her face out of the way in annoyance as she caused her tail to swish about in an attempt to work out kinks. “Lovely, now my tail has clicked,” she grumbled under her breath.

Brianna narrowed her eyes at her twin, feeling the urge to have a go at her twin and resisting said impulse, which was ironically exactly what Grave was doing. The only difference was Grave's emotional stability at this point in time had all the integrity of a goldfish dropped into a working blender.

A blender with the lid off.

“So you happy now?” Brianna asked her twin sarcastically, crossing her arms as she did so.

Grave growled under her breath and looked out the window again, focusing on the distant and seemingly peaceful morning outside. She looked back down to the floor and then up at Brianna when her emotions had stabilized a bit.

“No,” the petite werecheetah stated simply and truthfully as her eyes went slightly distant, “my emotions are all over the place. Anger. Fear. Joy.”

She closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead as if she had a great headache. “I don't know where to go, what to follow,” she stated flatly with her eyes closed as Brianna looked at her twin concerned by the sudden change.

A concern that peaked when she noticed that Grave had started trembling.

“Hey, are you alright?” Brianna asked gently as she rested her hand on the other girls arm and was surprised when Grave leaned back against her in a uncharacteristic need to be comforted.

“I'm scared,” Grave admitted softly, barely above a breath. As if she didn't want to admit it and didn't want anyone to hear if she did.

Brianna carefully wrapped her arms around the smaller lycanthropoid.

“I'll help you through,” she promised, knowing exactly what her twin was afraid of without being told. A good thing because she somehow doubted that Grave would let such things through her defenses that easily, her pride wouldn't allow it.

Grave relaxed against Brianna completely, there was a comfort in having someone know who you were and you knowing who they were. There was a trust. An understanding.

And so they stood together with Brianna's arms wrapped around Grave for a while, just enjoying and taking comfort from each others presences. Warm bodies resting against each other, listening to each other heartbeat as their minds followed similar but different routes.

“I haven't got many more chances,” Grave spoke quietly with a sense of crystal finality behind her words.

Brianna was quiet for a moment.

“Don't worry, it will work this time around. I'll make it work.” Brianna reassured her softly and let the other girl bathe in the reassurance before smiling as she continued on a more up beat note.

“And look on the bright side, at least we didn't get a three hour lecture magical safety. Again.” Brianna commented hopefully.

Grave gave a little huff of laughter at that. “I think thats coming later...” Grave predicted pessimistically.

She had a point, Brianna mind noted wryly. “Come on,” Brianna spoke as she lightly shook Grave to get her attention, “we've got to get downstairs.”

Grave opened her eyes to look at her sister for a moment before she nodded and headed for the door.

Brianna could only hope that this would turn out well.
