Sanjiyan Unkara 1/2: A Brief Message of History [Episode 184483]

by The Demented Redhead

“What a minute,” said Yakumo. “This ultimate weapon that even Shiva fears ... is another Sanjiyan Unkara?”

“It would appear so,” said Parvati, her third eye open. “But my memories cannot be correct.”

“Why?”

“Because they say that he was someone who claimed to have once been human.”

“Is ... is that even possible?”

“I don’t see why not,” she said. “If a Sanjiyan Unkara can become human, nothing says the process cannot be reversed.”

“If you wish to learn of my Master, then please insert the green crystal into the chamber,” the message continued, as the demon turtle’s tongue extended, showing three crystals, a red, blue, and green, with the red currently in the middle.

Yakumo could only blink once more. “This is weird, even for the Sanjiyan Unkara.”

Parvati snorted. “Foolish mortal,” she said, as she walked past him, and switched the crystals.

The image flicked out for a bit, returning to show a different demon. This one had light blue skin, a female form, a scorpion-like tail sprouting from her backside, spider-like eyes, and two pairs of...

“Stop staring at her chest, my perverted Wu,” glared Parvati.

“Sorry.”

“Remember not to try anything perverted with Pai, Wu, or I will be ... displeased.”

He could only rub his head nervously, as the image told of the Sanjiyan Unkara that had been sealed here.

“He is said to be the only known case of a human becoming a Sanjiyan Unkara. What I will describe to you has only been chronicled here, and with his most loyal of servants, for fear of those with evil in their hearts using this knowledge to gain powers they should never have.

“His journey started in the Far East, in an area he called ‘Japan’. He informed us that due to ‘poerty-spoutin’ morons who were messin’ with stuff they ought not to’, that he was cast into the past.”

“Time travel?”

“Shut up, Wu.”

“Once there, he made his way to a cursed land called Jusenkyo, believing that he might acquire a cure to the curse he received from this land in his time.

“But there he learned the truth of Jusenkyo. It was the result of white water from the Sanjiyan Unkara Holy Land coming through a gateway, and entering this world. A former Sanjiyan Unkara used this, in the hopes of becoming an immortal phoenix, getting the power of rebirth, and thus ending the fear all Sanjiyan Unkara have with their immortality.

“But it was not to be. He could not be cured, but fell into a pool of the white water, before it ran across crystals that imparted them with magic depending on their temperature.”

“They have stuff like that?”

“One more comment before they finish, Wu, and I’ll finish off every sugary bit of food we have, and let Pai run loose.”

“I’ll be good.”

“After receiving the change and becoming a full Sanjiyan Unkara, despite which gender he was in, he learned that the Immortal Phoenix had at one time been the Sanjiyan Unkara who was experimenting with the waters. Somehow, the experiments had caused the Wu ability that a Sanjiyan Unkara can grant to a chosen protector to mutate. He had become immortal, with the ability of a Wu to never die and restore themselves. But the cost had been that each time he did so, he would be reborn as a child.

“But he did receive knowledge of his new people from the tomes left by Saffron. It had seemed that the constant rebirth changed him from a man bent on his own needs, to the needs of the people who were changing because of the water.

“This included the fact that two weapons he had brought from his own time, were weapons Saffron had created before his first rebirth, which were meant to be able to slaughter a Wu for whatever reason was needed. They were the Kinjakan and the Gekkaja.

“With his new knowledge, he traveled to the Sanjiyan Unkara Holy Land, in hopes of learning more, and waiting for the time when he could return to his former life.

“Sadly, it was not meant to be. When he saw how some Wu were treated, as well as the intentions of Shiva, our Master could not tolerate this. He challenged Shiva, claiming that if a God was nothing more than an abuser of power and the people, than that God should be slain.

“Shiva accepted the challenge, and though my Master was still relatively new at the magics of the Sanjiyan Unkara, he still defeated both Shiva and his Wu.”

Parvati had a fleeting image of that day.

Remember, Little One, keep that power of yours. I have it too, and I just proved that it is much stronger than his will ever be.

“I ... I think I remember him,” Parvati said, the image of a smiling man with blue eyes. Somehow, she remembered how amazing he had been, using spells that no one else had ever used. He even seemed able to make things disappear and reappear whenever he wanted, as if he was summoning them.

“But even his ideals could not last forever given the bloodlust of some of the people. Shiva was ruthless in his pursuit to destroy our Master. But his efforts did cost him. Even as he sent us to die, our Master gave us hope. Where we once served Shiva, we now served who we felt was the true Kaiyanwang.

“When Shiva finally placed the spell upon him, our Master acted quickly. We all knew Shiva wanted the very weapons my Master had with him, wanting to use them to conquer all he saw fit to. And thus this temple was constructed.

“We can only hope that the energy Shiva has wasted in this goal will allow the Sanjiyan Unkara the time they need to defeat him ... forever.”

“It wasn’t,” cried Parvati, her eyes leaking tears. “Even then, it cost all those lives to seal him away!”

“Don’t worry,” Yakumo said, taking the crying Sanjiyan Unkara into his arms, comforting the one personality he never thought that he’d have to. “It isn’t like this is the end. I mean, this guy still exists, and if this Saffron still has the water running, then maybe there can be more Sanjiyan Unkara.”

He then looked to the image of the female demon, standing still, as if she was waiting for some sign to continue. “And if nothing else, we can wake him up to bring justice to Shiva.”
