Now, Ranma, contrary to popular belief wasn't stupid. He had an adept mind which could make a number of analysis on the fly based upon previous experience. Females, however are something that Ranma had no experience with and consequently his brain went into flight or fight mode. Seeing no worthy opponents, and only a weak girl nearby he only had one choice.
"Hey look 25 yen!" Ranma pointed directly behind Dr. Mizuno.
"Really?! Where?" Dr. Mizuno turned around. Ranma, trained very well in the Saotome-secret technique seized his opportunity. By the time she turned back around, she had only one thing to say about it.
"Well, %$!#@$" she thought aloud.
Ranma was worried. Dr. Mizuno was acting all weird, and the fact that there were a bunch of closed signs with fresh paint on them led him to believe that there was something rotten in the state of Denmark. Well, China actually, but who's counting. Regardless, Ranma did something he did not do often. He thought about things.
Point A: Dr. Mizuno was not acting normal. Point B: There were suddenly a bunch of exits blocked to him and Dr. Mizuno.
He then felt rather indignant on Dr. Mizuno's behalf. Someone had cast a spell on her, and she accidentally stumbled on Ranma with that flimsy excuse about him not being able to tolerate pain. So he immediately thought of who would attempt such a thing.
As Ranma wondered what happened to Dr. Mizuno
