Ranma whistled happily. Shampoo was gone! Mailed back to China!
Of course, he hadn't known the address of that village but he'd made an approximation and it had taken all the money he had on him to do it. Yup. When he'd asked the postal guy how long it would take it would only take a couple of months to get there.
No more Shampoo! No more getting under a tire and being smashed to the ground! No more red threads, no more hypnotic dim sum, no more of any of that crap!
On reaching the Tendo house, he nearly wretched. It smelled like burnt motor oil, vinegar, and something he'd rather not identify.
Everyone was at the table, with plates already filled. Nabiki was shooting him a look of pity.
Waitaminute. Everyone at the table with filled plates except for two places. His and Akane's. Nabiki looking like she pitied him. Smell of motor oil and smoke coming from the kitchen.
Uh-oh.
"Is that Ranma? I made dinner! Tuna casserole!" Akane's voice cheerily called out.
Ranma twitched, the result of several reactions conflicting in the nervous system. What did he do to deserve this?
Meanwhile, in a box with no air holes, a cat was being loaded onto a freighter, surrounded by hundreds of other boxes.
"Well, Ranma, are you going to eat it?" Akane dished the black and rancid mess in front of her fiance.Nabiki watched, actually feeling some sympathy for Saotome for once. Akane had bought all the ingredients herself. Since the recipe had required 1/4 cup of oil, that's what Akane had gotten. 10W30, to be exact. The recipe hadn't been followed that closely thereafter, but that was Akane "livening things up" with her usual perky enthusiasm.
