"She clearly takes her time cleaning the second floor," Ranko noticed.
"I wonder when she will be finished," Kasumoo said with worry. "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes."
Tomoyo jumped up from her chair. "I'll go and get her."
Kasumoo smiled. "Thanks, you're a good girl, Tomoyo!"
Tomoyo beamed and went upstairs.
She looked into one of the various chambers on the second floor. "Lunch, did you...?"
She gasped in surprise when she saw their new housemaid, in a chaotic mess of jumbled shoe boxes, rummaging through various drawers. The strangest thing was, Lunch suddenly had blonde hair.
"Wh-what are you doing?" she asked.
Lunch turned around, a frown of annoyance on the blonde criminal's pretty face. "What do you want, little girl? I have work to do!"
"Um, sure..." Tomoyo said weakly. "Um, if you are finished cleaning up, Kasumoo wanted to tell you, dinner will be ready shortly."
Lunch grimaced. The girl didn't seem to realize that she was a dangerous criminal. "Whatever, just leave me alone!"
She smirked as she pulled out a hidden chest with a few old pieces of jewelry. "Bingo."
"Um, I don't think you should take that," Tomoyo spoke up. "I believe it might belong to Mr. Yamaki..."
"Whatever. ow it's MINE!"
"You know, stealing is a bad thing!"
Lunch snarled in annoyance. "Listen, little girl! Say one more thing and I'll..." She reached for her gun.
"Huh? Where is it? Dammit, where's my gun?"
Tomoyo slowly backed off. That woman scared her. "Um, I think I should go now."
"Not so fast, little girl! You're gonna be my ticket out of here!"
The long-haired girl yelped in fright, when Lunch suddenly lunged for her.
"Help! Ranko! Muzusa!"
Alarmed by the young girl's screams, the cat-girl and dog-girl ran up the stairs.
A scared Tomoyo hid behind her big, feline friend. "Ranko, she's gone crazy!"
Ranko frowned. "You're Lunch's 'other half', I presume."
"I suppose you could call me that," Lunch grumbled. "And now get out of my way."
"Ranko, she took something she found up here. I believe she wants to steal it."
"Sorry, can't let you do that," Ranko said. She extended her open hand. "Now hand it over, whatever it is!" she hissed.
"Forget it, you feline freak!" Lunch snapped. Her gaze then fell upon Muzusa. "You! That's my gun! Give it back!"
Muzusa shook her head. "Nope! That's my pretty little Angelique, and she wants to stay with me."
"Why you little..." Lunch had enough and threw herself at the dog-girl. But Ranko intercepted her path.
"Too slow, blondie. Mrrrrowwwllll!" And with a fierce motion, she threw the thief across the room, so that she landed in the middle of the shoe boxes.
"Don't hurt her!" Tomoyo pleaded. "She has a nice side, you know?"
"That's right!" Ranko realized. "We just have to make her sneeze."
As if he had been waiting for a cue, PenPen arrived at her side, clutching a pepper shaker. "Wark!" he exclaimed as he offered the item to Ranko.
She grinned. "Thanks, pal!" And with a meow of determination, the cat-girl jumped forward, throwing the pepper at Lunch's face.
The blonde thief yelped as the pepper shaker hit the middle of her nose, spraying her face with pepper.
"Ah... Aaaaaah... A-CHOOO!"
The blue-haired housemaid sniffed and rubbed her nose.
"Um... Gesundheit!" Tomoyo said.
Lunch smiled. "Why, thank you! You are a nice girl, you know that?"
While Tomoyo blushed under the praise, Ranko sighed and scratched her head. "Well, having her in our house really will be a thrilling experience, I can tell."
"You still wanna keep her?" Muzusa asked curiously.
Ranko nodded. "Of course! Blue Lunch can't be blamed for what Blonde Lunch did, right? And we can't throw her out on the street, she still hasn't another place to stay. Besides..." She looked around the room. These rooms haven't been this clean ever since we came here, so she is definitely a good housemaid!"
And so it was decided. Lunch would stay.
