"Oh, that's all right then," said Oogami. "Just don't make so much noise you disturb your neighbors."
"I don't think that I could do that. It would be so embarrassing to have people listening in on me like that."
"That's understandable, but the walls are thin around here. You can hear a lot that you might not want to without trying. Heck, I can remember this one time when Sumire... Well, just be careful to not disturb your neighbors."
"I'm disturbed by this whole arrangement," Setsuna muttered, glancing over at the sole teenaged boy in the room.
"Hmm?"
"Nothing that you should worry about."
Oogami frowned slightly but shrugged off the confusion. "Just keep in mind that this dorm is built on 'morality', which means that wild activities are out."
"And you don't consider these two in a compromising situation to be a 'wild activity'?"
"They're to be married, aren't they? Where's the problem in finding pleasure in your marriage, instead of cheating on your partner?"
"I can think of some...."
"If you say so, though I only want them to hold off. They are a bit young for that sort of thing. Still, if that is it...."
Kaede gave a small bow and smiled at the dorm manager. "It doesn't seem that things are going to be troubling you again tonight. But thank you for coming."
"No problem. No problem, really. Only don't want to see you get in trouble straight off. Kids these days."
"Thanks, Kaede," Ranma commented as he watched the elderly man leave. "And good thinking Konoka. That 'fiance' story really convinced him."
"Thank you, Ranma! I figured that telling the truth would be a good idea, and it seems to have worked out well here, right?" Konoka answered.
"Yeah, it did, didn't it. I.... WHAT?! When did we get engaged?!"
"It was set when your father and my grandfather were talking...."
"You mean that you... and me.... We're going to be...."
"Husband and wife!" the young noblewoman chirped, clapping her hands together in delight. "Isn't that wonderful?"
"B... bu... but.... Do you mean to say that the agreement that they came to was this?!"
"Uh-huh."
