Happosai felt it in his bones. It had been sufficient for him to curtail an early morning lingerie roundup and find a high vantage point.
Bad. Very bad.
He had made a living stealing, running, surviving. He'd learned there were some lines one did not cross.
Who could have been so stupid as to cross that particular line?
"Well, it doesn't concern me," reasoned Happosai.
Ryoga was lost. Again. It happened.
"Excuse me, do you know the way to..." Ryoga's voice trailed off as something wrong communicated itself to him. Maybe it was scent, maybe it was chi, maybe it was something more subtle. He knew that something was wrong about the figure coming up behind him.
He slowly turned, not getting lost in this instance, as he beheld-
