On an island that moved through the ocean waves a young woman tidied the small hut she had made. She didn’t fully understand this world she found herself on yet, and these simple morning chores helped calm her mind and remind her of home.
As the last leaf was brushed out the door the woman put away the bundle of twigs she was using and made her way to the center of the island. Now that her mind was clear it was time for her lessens.
The island was not only providing shelter for her, but it was teaching her so she could teach the boy who would eventually come to the island.
The boy would be a master of fire, earth, water and air but would know nothing about the fifth element. It would be her job to teach him about the element that was the center of all the others, the one that was both everything and nothing, the element of the void.
Taking a deep breath Kasumi began the movements she had dreamt last night, bending the raw energy that was her element.
