“Well I’ll be, never thought I’d see you near this place.”
Tsunade cringed, hearing the one person aside from Orochimaru that she never wanted to meet again. “Jiraiya.”
“And I see Shizune is still hanging around,” he smirked, as he joined her on the path. “So, I take it the Old Man called you as well.”
“Bwee,” said Ton-ton, nodding in agreement.
“It better be good for him to use those methods to find us,” growled the Slug Princess.
“Come on, not like he’s going to offer you his job,” said Jiraiya.
Tsunade ignored his poke, even as Shizune froze, slightly in fear of what Tsunade might do to him. The topic of the Hokage title was still a sore spot with her.
“Let’s just get this over with,” growled Tsunade, not wanting to spend anymore time near the village if she could. At least for her, the meeting place wasn’t in the village, but one of their outer practice fields.
“So Old Man,” said Jiraiya, as the group arrived on Practice Field Twenty, “why’d you call us here?”
“It had better be important,” said Tsunade. “I was on a winning streak.”
The others could only look at her.
“What?” she growled out. “You think I’d lie about that?”
The others chose to remain quiet for their own continued safety.
“It is,” said the Hokage. “We were doing some maintenance a few weeks ago, when we ran across an abandoned lab of Orochimaru’s,” he said.
“I hope it is more than that,” said Tsunade. “We all know the guy was a little out of it.”
“Doesn’t sound like something you’d need our presence to help with,” said Jiraiya. “So what’s the real problem? I do have my research to return to.”
“The possible problem is what we found in that lab ... alive.”
“Alive?” asked the group.
Sarutobi nodded.
Jiraiya snorted. “What kind of threat could be in a lab abandoned probably since he ran from the Leaf?” asked Jiraiya.
His answer came in a forceful blow to the back of his head, which sent him face-first into the ground.
Tsunade could only stare in shock, seeing the small child that had sent her former teammate into the ground face-first.
It looked like Jiraiya when they were all younger.
“Why did I let you guys talk me into this?” yelled Chibi-Jiraiya, as he hopped away.
Before the older Jiraiya could push himself up, another figure landed on his head, retuning him to eating dirt.
“We are in so much trouble, it ain’t funny!” yelled a Chibi-Orochimaru. “Now run before that snake girl catches us before those jounin do!”
Once more though, when he leaped away, a third figure landed on Jiraiya.
“That was so funny!” chuckled a whisker-faced kid. On his back was a Chibi-Tsunade, her ankle wrapped up, and a wide smile on her face. In his arms, was a girl who looked like she was a Hyuuga, if her eyes were correct, with a deeply flushed face.
“Faster, Naruto-kun!” yelled Chibi-Tsunade. “If we get caught, we can’t do anymore pranks today!”
“M-m-m-more!” screeched the Hyuuga girl, as they darted after their cohorts in crime.
“Get back here, you brats!” yelled a Special Jounin with a trench coat and a mesh outfit, as she bounced off Jiraiya’s head, followed by three more jounin and two ANBU.
Those still standing could only stare in the direction the group had run off in.
“That ... is why I called you here,” said Sarutobi, coughing slightly into his hand. He looked down at the downed Sannin. “Jiraiya, you still alive?”
