Of course, Akane wasn't either strong enough or prepared to deal with the sudden blow of magical force that slammed into her. Which resulted in Akane-dust and one completely out of it Ranma...

"What have I done?" asked the Saotome Heir as her fiancee became so much particles on the air.

"My god..." breathed Nabiki.

"How can this..? How can I... I've got to bing her back!"

"And just how do you plan on doing that Saotome?!"

"I don't know! But I still have to!"

"Oh yeah, right," the middle Tendo mocked pulling a card out of her deck, "Like it'll be as easy as taking this card and saying something like 'Reborn The Monster!'"

There was a flash and when they managed to see, Akane was:

• back and looking normal.
• back, but... a 'Yu-gi-oh' style-monster.
• back, but... as some other kind of monster than from 'Yu-gi-oh'.
• returned to them but as something other than a monster or normal.
• ...apparently a literal monster in the first place.
• having something else happen.
