Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young black-haired, pigtailed martial arts master lived in a crystal dojo. Although he had everything his heart desired, the martial artist was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. He was too much like his father. Who was known by the name fatass.
But then, one winter's night, an old beggar woman came to the dojo, and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. But, repulsed by her haggard appearance, the martial artist sneered at the gift, and turned the old woman away.
She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. But when he dismissed her again, the old woman's ugliness melted away, to reveal a beautiful amazon lore mage.
The martial artist tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart.
And as punishment she transformed him into a catgirl, and placed a powerful spell on the dojo, and all who lived there.
Ashamed of her cute form, the catgirl concealed herself inside her dojo, with a magic mirror as her only window to the outside world.
The rose the lore mage had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until her twenty-first year.
If she could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken.
If not, she would be doomed to remain a catgirl for all time.
As the years passed, she fell into despair and lost all hope.
For who could ever learn to love a catgirl? All the girls in her area were straight dangit! She'd had all the lesbians run off!
