As the whole world spun around and reformed around him, Ranma shook his head, to relieve the bit of dizziness that he experienced during the dimension shift.
" Whoa... what a rush.... " He said, after some time.
The genie shrugged and said. " Welll... that is to be expected. Dimension hopping can be rather... disorientating for some, but the effect usually wear off quite quickly."
" Uh... yeah... so where are we now ? " Ranma asked.
" Well... we are in the world called Abeir-Toril, in the continent of Faerun... and just to let you know, my kind are well known in this place."
" Yeah ? How come ? " Ranma asked curiously.
" Allow me to clue you in on something. I have been here before, and us genies have three different families. We , the Djinni... or in case Noble Djinni, who grants wishes... are a minority of our kind. Then we have our enemies, and rather aggressive counterparts, the Efreeti. And finally, the Janni... which is in a way, the weakest of all genies."
" Uh... right... so this world is where I begin my new life huh... " Ranma replied, rather confused by all the information being given to him.
" Yes, but I'd rather not go into details on how this world came to be and all that. Let's just say that you have enough troubles in this world to worry about history and all that stuff."
Ranma rubbed his temples at the headache that was forming. " Greeat... just great.. i just arrive in this world and there are already problems for me." He then spoke in a sarcastically, something he never did often. " So... mind if you clue me in on what lies ahead of me ? "
The Djinn just raised his eyebrow at that comment. " Firstly, you don't have to worry.... were-creatures are very common here, so rest easy. Its the second thing that might worry you a bit, given your rather... bad experience with them. I sense that a deity or some deities in this world are rather interested in you.. since you arrived."
Ranma fumed. " Just what I need... some god to screw up my life. Like it wasn't enough that my life in Nerima isn't screwed up enough."
It took some time for him to cool down before. " Look I'm sorry I flew off the handle like that... its just after Saffron... and with all the magic mumbo jumbo... I don't really trust deities and all that... but just for curiosity's sake... mind if you tell me who those gods are ? "
" Well lets see here..... " The Djinn thought and then said. "Aha... I have it... the deities that are interested in you are.... "
