Using the oppurtunity to speak before the shocked audience could react.
“I COME BEFORE YOU NOT TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS BUT TO ASK THAT YOU ALLOW ME A PROBATION TO UNDO ALL THE DAMAGE I HAVE CAUSED. AFTER WICH I WILL RESIGN MYSELF TO ANY FATE YOU DEEM FIT FOR ME.”
He was met with a still stupfied audience, the stranger who they had at first mistrusted, who restored their homes and their family's, all the loved ones they lost, who had cured disease and had become a trusted and respected ally...was the same being who had been the cause of all their woes in the first place.
The face of the woman holding the controller of the shackles seemed to change from shock to disbelief to incredulousness to anger, then from hatred to rage, before changing to confusion and finally settling into a neutral look. Though one could still see faint traces of the previous emotions in her eyes.
“You know what fate we would give and yet you still come before us. How do we know you will not simply use your powers to destroy your bindings and for that matter how do we know you will not simply begin anew in devouring worlds and spread chaos and despair once more?”
Wordlessly he raised a hand and closed his eyes, a glow appeared in his hand that grew in brightness and size, then with a flash a beatiful crystal had materialized in his hand. Turning to his companion he handed the crystal to him and turned to face his could-be executioner as the holder of the crystal wordlessly gave him a voice enhancer.
“I have sealed all my power into that crystal, so my fate is in your hands if I tried to retake it it would start to glow and would take a few seconds for me to reabsorb. More then enough time for you to activate the shackles and kill me.”
A thoughtfull frown on her face she leaned forward steepling her fingers, a side of her was very tempted to immediately activate the bindings and kill him. But another side of her was confused, the being in front of her was acting nothing like the devourer of worlds who still plagued her nightmares to this very day. Looking down at him, she noticed his voice was no longer being amplified. To be expected since his he'd sealed his powers, his hair had also lost its glowing quality as had his eyes. Now instead of twin voids, pupiless icy blue with an odd ''shine'' to them had taken their place.
Fighting down a blush at his attractive appearance, considering this was neither the time nor the place to consider the feelings she had been developing for him over time he'd joined them. Especially with all the other emotions she had already threatening to overwhelm her, she closed her eyes and forced her emotions to the back of her mind for the time being. When she was in the privacy of her own quarters she could ponder them, but for now...
Having composed herself she turned her attention back to the matter at hand.
“Indeed, though I must admit that I am curious as to why you've suddenly decided to repent after all this time and why you are not hunting for planets to consume.”
“During my life on earth I had learned that some of the species there were able to manipulate their own life force and I, having been raised by one of them, also learned how to do this. Before I regained my memories fully, they started appearing to me as dreams. At the time I thought them nothing more then nightmares, this was proven wrong when my companion approached and informed me of my former past. Not wanting to end up in my old ways, we worked in secret in order for me to raise my life force to match that of the planets I needed to consume. After having achieved this we sealed and redirected this power into myself as a precaution, so that when the time came that I would fully regain everything from my past life I would no longer be controlled by the hunger that plagued me then.”
“But you have used this power many times in the past as well as the power cosmic when you joined us.”
“After we completed our work we continued to research ways to rid me of the hunger that could plague me in this life by using the knowledge of the power cosmic only my associate had acces to at the time, we succeeded when I reached the age of seventeen.”
“And thank Kami-Sama, that we did.” He thought, thinking back to phoenix mountain, eyes darkening slightly to the wedding disaster soon thereafter and the reactions of his ''friends'' and ''family''. Not too mention the behavior of the fiancee squad and his ''official'' fiancee.
“That still does not explain your age and appearance, logically considering the time of your, at the time, mysterious dissapearance I should be atleast twice your age.”
She was cut off as the up till now quiet watchers chose to make themselves known, making her jump in surprise as she'd forgotten they were their with how quiet they'd been.
“ORDER, WE ARE NOT BARBARIANS, WE SHALL HAVE ORDER IN THIS COURT!!!.” Her enhanced voice boomed, but it was drowned out by the combined noise the other races made.
After floating the crystal in the air the still hooded stranger slowly raised his hands and then clapped them together. The resulting boom that came immediately silenced them all as they covered their ears as they waited for the sound to abate.
“The reason why he's older then he would normally be is because he traveled back in time when he was reincarnated.”
Taking hold of the crystal he gestured for the woman to continue as he stepped back into the shadows and hid the crystal in his robe as he waited for the outcome of his friend's trial.
