Orochimaru was not only a brilliant ninja but also a brilliant geneticist. It wasn’t like he had not dabbled with cloning before, but he had yet to find success in making the clone body last long enough so that they could be something other than cannon fodder.
That and actually living long enough to see whether it was a success. A clone, that could live as long as a regular human, if not longer or forever. Until then they could be useful soldiers.
The resemblance was uncanny.
Spiky-blond hair and blue eyes were the more obvious ones; the blood type was the same too.

Geneticist A smacked geneticist B at the back of his head.
“Yanagi! I told you a hundred times that I NEVER want to hear that fucking SONG again!”
“But its appropriate Sakai, I mean given what we’re doing…” said the now identified Yanagi, who rubbed the spot he was hit at.
Before the irate Sakai could snap back at the annoying pest that was his partner, the klaxon had gone off.
“Shit! We have no time for this. Yanagi, go mobilize the sentries to their stations now.”
Rushing to a monitor he quickly typed in the codes and prepared to wipe out all the data and transport the active subjects. Orochimaru would not be pleased that this project was discovered…
